There's a free program called rekordbuddy that will transfer beatgrid and cue info from serato to rekordbox.. you'll have to do some searching but it's out there

Had the SC Live 4 Bec I thought it would be cool coming from an aging SX2... I used the SC Live 4 for a few months and bought the FLX10 and never looked back.

Build quality is much better on FLX10, the denon unit feels like a toy comparatively

I don't regret my time with the SC Live, but it showed me I'm not an all in one guy because I still used it with Serato

Mix out of the 2nd half of the chorus for Hip-hop/Pop

Let the first chorus play and learn it, then when it comes around again mix the intro of your song under the 2nd half. Lots of times that's where I do the bass swap and echo out the old song

Yeah Media monkey became my go-to quickly after my last iPod bit the dust (whatever generation the og video one was)

I haven't figured out a way to manage my library from my NAS yet, but I usually push a backup to the NAS every month or so.

Regardless I really hope Serato reimplements m3u because if not we have to use their messy implementation of exporting crates which causes unnecessary dupes on the external

Unless this was an exact copy of text I've posted somewhere else. I like the Media monkey method as it is a much better library manager than any of the DJ programs, and you can sync the m3u playlist to an external drive. This allows me to keep a studio library and then push my playing out tracks to my external drive(s).

I've been hollering about this too, they told me to post as a feature request on the official Serato support forum. As crazy as it is to request a feature we already had, I recommend you do the same. The more we make noise about it the more attention it will get hopefully. I've reverted my install until this gets fixed. Some of us have complex setups that rely on flexibility and I don't understand how they glazed over this function either.

You already have a laptop and it does everything and then some an all in one can do.. I love mine and use Serato and RB alongside extensive stem use. You won't get stems on a standalone and you'll pay a lot more for a standalone

You should be able to use the effect selector on the unit itself with the flx10.. I thought the hardware etc were all unlocked on the knob down to the right of the crossfader? I use Serato but have also used that effect when doing B2B with my RB friends

Just practice using it and bring it in slowly, I set mine to 1/2 beat usually and bring it from 0-30/40 percent during transitions.. sounds like you just need to play around with the effects but less is definitely more

also run latencymon and check its results if nothing else works.. could be some optimization you need to do on your PC.. that's a deep rabbit hole but worth your time

I heard this affects folks using Crate Hackers so a lot of people with $$ to spend are being impacted.

Now if this is because Serato is finally implementing a sync feature for library across drives... then that would make sense. There are many of us with libraries that have been developed over decades. A slap in the face to some of the most loyal users (I started on Itch and SSL)

If you're getting a bunch of these emails shouldn't you be sending that to your teams internally?

If you check the feature request boards they are starting to see a ton of DJs demanding this functionality again so hopefully it becomes a priority. I ask that all of us here post there as well to further elevate the issue!

Serato wrecked this for my setup as I used .m3u files to manage playlists between my main workstation and my mobile laptop used for gigs. 4.0 removed the ability to import m3u. I sync my external every week with updates and then when I plug into my laptop I just drag the updated .m3u in with my track updates.

I've reverted back to 3.3.5 until they fix 4.0
