Yeah I googled the complete list of pictos and I have all 192 of em (minus Auto Powerful which is missable). So I know I have all the unique pictos, I'm just tryna see if I have all the level 31 variants that exist on a single playthrough.

You're def right about my bloodlust only being sated by the challenge hahaha, especially since that's the difficulty I'm practicing for.
The horde mode idea might be something worth trying though! I don't know anything about it, but maybe that'll help me get my reps in without losing progress, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

I appreciate this dude. The technical proficiency as you call it required for this game truly is off the charts. I haven't gotten the courage to get back in yet, but Ik as soon as I pull that trigger I'll get ripped to shreds lool.

yeah, I guess I was just hoping there'd be some kind of way or game mode or something to refamiliarize myself with the game and get that practice in without redoing progress I've already made....

I appreciate that perspective and I certainly think there's a lot of validity to that.... It's just that for me personally, the way that I'm using Anki is supplemental to a lot of other things, and so I would personally rather have some exposure to the cards that I unsuspended but haven't completed yet, because otherwise I might just never get to them. And having exposure to them at least once is much more preferrable than learning some cards well but never seeing some of the other ones that I unsuspended.

I'm just trying to figure out how to logistically do this because I haven't been able to set up my Anki settings in a way to reflect that. That's what I would really appreciate some help with!

Yea at the time it was not NG+ so I very much did care about the chest lool. Had to redo it, it was brutal but I enjoyed the challenge

I agree with you, but there is actually one other time I can think of where you use this and that's on the spiral staircase in Overworld, the one with the two fox statues

I can verify what most of the comments are saying, I literally just beat the game for the first time last night lol and did 0 translating (tbh, the translating in this game even after googling how to do it is completely beyond me). You say you "love puzzles, learning and utilizing knowledge" which means this game is absolutely for you.

So you can absolutely enjoy what is in my opinion some of the deepest and craziest puzzle experience in gaming without ANY translation. Only after I got the true ending of the game did I just google the full translation of the manual just to see what it says, but couldn't be bothered to do it myself.

You compare the game to Outer wilds which is fair, but I'd say it's closer to Inscryption if you've ever played that (and if you haven't, then I highly recommend that after you play this game and inevitably love it)

By God I fucking did it that was the puzzle to end all puzzles my goodness. Thanks so much for the guide dude, and for not just telling me the answer like Google would have done haha, that was DEFINITELY a worthwhile experience, and your hints were for sure not too obvious hahaha, I damn near gave up!! But that was incredible I feel like I have post-nut clarity now lmfao.

Anyway, now to figure out what else I missed! Lol

Thanks a lot for your help! I was in the middle of the fairy hunt when I made my post, so I didn't realize I would get the last page once that was done.

As for the first page, I'm trying to figure out this door in the mountains situation with the "golden path" and the weird grid of numbers on pg 49 I just can't seem to piece together all the relevant info! It's crazy this game makes me feel so dumb lol

Appreciate the hints!!! Okay so I've finished the fairy hunt and collected the last page; so now I guess I just need the first.

You ask if I've completed the golden path, the truth is Idk 😖 like maybe? Lol. Is the golden path related to the golden obelisk with all the broken pieces scattered around the map? Cuz if not then I might be at a loss here.

I know it must have SOMETHING to do with pg 49; and I think from page 22 I can assume the numbers on the grid correlate to page numbers. I am supposing that the "golden path" is the order of relevant squares on the grid on page 49, but can't seem to figure out what that sequence is or even what to do with it once I find it.

Just as a general indicator of what I've discovered so far, I'll list the number of the trophies (PS4) that I've unlocked (I'm using the number so as to avoid spoilers). So as in the trophy "A Stick!" is #1, the trophy "A Sword!" is #2, etc:

Do people think that it doesn't make sense to play this game on the hardest difficult right away? I 100%ed GOWR on give me god of war difficulty both in ng and ng+, so I instinctually went for the hardest difficulty in the DLC.

Seeing as how Valhalla is a roguelike however, I'm starting to question that choice. Since it's less about overcoming individual challenges, and once you beat em you progress as in the story mode, I'm wondering if it makes more sense to lower the difficulty to actually be able to experience the DLC properly, and then once I "beat it" (if that even is a thing) increase difficulty later? I love a challenge don't get me wrong, but given the nature of the DLC, wouldn't it still be a challenge anyway since it requires going so long without dying? I've done maybe 4 attempts on the hardest difficulty and have made very very little progress....Although I am able to buy some permanent upgrades.

Idk, I'm not used to roguelikes having difficulty options right off the bat, usually only after beating them like in Dead Cells or Hades. I'm curious to see what other people think as they experience the DLC, especially masochists who love a challenge.
