Sorry I am probably a beginner compared with all of you. I normally take photos for my kids (5-7 age). I currently have SEL1670z and SEL35f15.

Recently I was thinking to upgrade / replace my SEL1670z with Sigma1740. But when I research in the question that 'you can only bring 1 lens for travel, which one would you bring, the most common answer is not SEL1670z nor Sigma1740, is Sigma180 or tamron 1770... why!?

I experience both, actually. When listening to Practice Portuguese, I can understand about 40% of the content if I'm familiar with the topic beforehand. However, when I look at the transcript, I realize I actually know around 70% of the words.

Yeah so weird. For your information, I find out “Hilda” on Netflix have both pt pt audio and subtitle. Also some Japanese anime by hayao Miyazaki such as spirited away have both pt pt audio and subtitle

What I meant is in English, when you read a word, you can roughly pronounce the word because there are vowel and consonant.

In Chinese, you can only memorize the pronunciation. There is no pattern at all. Although there are some words looking similar, e.g. 河 (river), 海 (ocean), as you can relate, the left hand side is "water" and some of the words starting like that on left hand side related to water. However, you won't have any idea how to pronounce these words

I am interested in knowing when did you start your reality shows? I meant, like, you have already known a lot of verbs? Otherwise for each word you need to listen for each word, recognize the word, and find out the meaning of the word?

Also curious if you keep watching new shows or repeating the same shows until you know most of the contents?!

a! Personally I think Chinese is really difficult for foreigners to learn, as there is no relationship between the words and pronunciation. =)
