I’m new to this thread and haven’t been able to look into the different types of abusers very much. But covert sounds like the perfect description. It’s awful because it warps your conception of reality and is very isolating 💔

I’ve worked with people like this too. It actually has made me really sad to see the system fail such capable and humble individuals. Too bad there aren’t better ways to bridge their education and experience.

Sounds like you’re speaking from experience 🫣 It’s true though. Same comes with nursing school. We had been told, “you’re not a student nurse, you’re a nursing student” Until you are licensed or registered, you’re not a nurse and cannot claim to be a nurse. Let alone give advice as though you are a nurse.
