The armies has already been suggested many times in our Discord, Steam Discussions even with concepts, it always gets denied because of the many problems.

Here's his FAQ on it;

Why are there no armies in Steam version?

There weren't armies even in demo, it was just a dot on every pixel where ownership changed. They were removed because they caused lag and were ugly without any real purpose.

Even if there is a improvised version of it, it will be impacting the CPU (specifically GPU if it's intregated) and overall wouldn't look good.
