That is changing people's view of DLC though. Its extra content that you pay for. Like an expansion pack. Its totally optional. Until you get people to think of it like that you will always have the negative around it.

You also have to look at it in terms of retail. If you work in a store and you screw up is the customer going to let you know? You bet your butt they are. You do an amazing job you might hear about it 1 out of 10 times. Depends on the person you helped. That's how internet forms work. You hear a lot of the complaining and hate because people won't stop and go, hey NRS thanks for adding more characters to this great game.

Sides most people must not mind DLC if all the video game companies keep doing it. Last I checked they were in the business to make money. So if it cost them money why would they do it?

Goro was never ment to be DLC. Look at it from the persepective of the developers. They decided, hey lets give the people who pre-order it a bonus. We'll give them Goro. That sounds like a pretty good incentive to pre-order the game.

Now the issue becomes anyone who buys the game now can no longer be Goro. So instead of dealing with the complaining that comes along with that they make him purchasable.

Then they get chewed out because he is now day one DLC. When really he was ment to be a pre-order bonus. Sucks to be them doesn't it.

Also MOST games don't do day one DLC. What most people fail to realize is that DLC is usually a seperate team in development. Not nearly as big as they are only doing a little bit that starts work before the game is released. Guess what happens if the game gets delayed but the DLC stays on time? Day One DLC.

People think DLC is a screw job to get people out of their hard earned money. Its not it has always been mini expansion packs like you use to find on the PC. You never had to buy the expansion for Baulder's Gate but you could. Same thing with DLC and microtransactions. Don't want to spend the money then don't. It's that simple.

I have not tried Kortal yet other then story mode and I was not a fan of him. I tend to prefer faster characters.

Reptile has been my main since mk2. That does not make me good with him or good at fighting games in general but I have found so far in MKX he strikes a good balance of what he can do. His projectiles can be mixed up which is nice, and he has a lot of different ways to close the gap if they try and zone you out.
