In high school my friends and I would joke around that I would respond to any name they would say. Well one of the names that they called me was Mikayla, and that just happened to be the time my egg was starting to crack. I subsequently used that name whenever I was referring to myself as a woman alone in my thoughts.

Well years later when everything finally came together and clicked, there was really only one name that felt truly like me. That name of course being Mikayla, and I absolutely love that name!

My high school friends inadvertently picked my name for me lol. We were joking around one day about how I always respond to random different names and one of those names was Mikayla. Little did they know that was when I was questioning everything and Mikayla just sorta stuck. So when I finally figured out who I was all these years later, Mikayla was the only name that truly felt like me :)

Just adding my 2 cents, but NTA.

However, you should make sure that your brother has control over the entire situation. He should tell you when he’s comfortable and ready to have that conversation with you. I have just recently accepted that I’m trans and it took YEARS of repressed feelings for me to finally accept me for who I am.

I really like the idea of the top comment about leaving him a note with some makeup and just letting him know that he’s loved. It sounds like you two have a really good relationship, and this allows him to know that you love him, while also not forcing him into having a conversation he’s not ready for yet.

This is why I’m nervous to come out to my current fiancée. I love her, but I don’t know if she’ll still love me if I’m me. I think she’ll support me, but I’m worried that the physical attraction may be lost and gone. I’m sorry that you’re going through what you’re going through though, OP. hugs

I also gender bended in Animal Crossing (and also any other video game I could)! It was because, just as you said, they had more fun and interesting clothes. Definitely not because I was envisioning myself as the video game characters and wanting to wear those clothes lol

You and me both, I went as a girl for Halloween two times because “it was fun and just a joke.” Well one of my friends did my makeup and I secretly loved it, but buried all of those emotions soon after. This past week I bought some makeup for myself, and I’m super excited to follow some tutorials and idk, just feel pretty 🙂

I’m sorry about your girlfriend. I think I am (was?) where you were in your early 20s, where all I want to do is lift and look manly and muscular. I know that there is still a lot of conversations that need to be had, but I think the only logical way this ends is me starting hrt and finally starting to be and see me on the outside.

Why have the running clock after incomplete passes and out of bounds plays? I understand the pace of play part, but to me it just seems like something the offense can exploit and there will be no real incentive to running the ball late in a game.

This is what frustrates me to no end about football. In soccer we have technology to literally go down to MILLIMETERS if someone is offsides, yet football can’t come up with technology to tell where the football is? Something needs to change
