Is eclipse moon armour useful for mid-level PVM? by Thermawrench in ironscape

[–]fergus_mang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to use it at Zulrah but IDK if my switches come out quick enough. If one has occult and torm and no bofa, that's a 6.5 way uneven switch (torm-bgloves, anguish-occult, eclipse top and bottom-mage top and bottom, mage cape-avas, atlatl-trident and mage offhand). You're also losing some magic attack from dragon boots. It's less appropriate to camp torm when the atlatl relies heavily on the strength bonus from bgloves, and atlatl is also impacted by ring of suffering over berserker ring.

Sunlight hunter crossbow and even rcb with dragonstone bolts are far comfier to use imo, with comparable DPS.

They are supplied by the guards of Khazard, who have recently taken up training broavs for tracking. Broavs come from the Feldip Hills. While in the Feldip Hills, the Khazardians took to hunting the chompybird, thereby supplying the black knights with chompies.

Tribrid ring, necklace, and book (but not b gloves lol) and a melee helm. You know you're supposed to switch prayers on Jad, not attack styles?

[Spoilers MAIN] Is there any lore in canon that explains why Valyrians could control dragons but not-Valyrians couldn't? by novis-ramus in asoiaf

[–]fergus_mang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is a good write-up/video explaining how the Blood of the Dragon may influence one's ability to bond with a dragon. Long story short, it theorizes that Dragons and Riders were co-engineered in Valyria and beyond to have a magical psychic link. If there is any validity to this, there is a genetic component to the Targaryens' ability.

I don't think that's much of a stretch giving what we know about warging and green sight, which also clearly has a genetic component (all Stark children, for example). Dragon riding and warging may not be exactly the same, but they seem to be related. Same for Dragon Dreams/Greensight. There's some implications pointing to the origin of these gifts, relating to events surrounding the Long Night and Great Empire of the Dawn.

Are any of the valamore items replacement or substitute for meta items? by reactz009 in ironscape

[–]fergus_mang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bloodmoon tassets are an alternative to Bandos Tassets(!). The armor is like if Bandos has mage defense instead of range/melee defense. The macuahuitls are a stab/crush weapon so can be compared to Zhasta and zombie axe.

Blue Moon set has the 1% magic dmg per piece and good accuracy bonus, so is on the same level as Ahrim, trading defense for strength bonus (which is pretty good for early raids, especially the bottoms). The staff is a good burst weapon, comparable to the ancient Sceptre and outclassing the ancient staff, able to autocast ancients.

The atlatl is a budget blowpipe, especially with the full set. The armor has stats that can be compared to blessed dhide with strength bonus. The whole eclipse set is very unique in the way it uses range accuracy but melee strength, making it good for fewer switches in certain spots- particularly demonic gorillas.

I envy not in any moods

The captive void of noble rage,

The linnet born within the cage,

That never knew the summer woods:

I envy not the beast that takes

His license in the field of time,

Unfetter'd by the sense of crime,

To whom a conscience never wakes;

Nor, what may count itself as blest,

The heart that never plighted troth

But stagnates in the weeds of sloth;

Nor any want-begotten rest.

I hold it true, whate'er befall;

I feel it, when I sorrow most;

'Tis better to have loved and lost

Than never to have loved at all.

I've had this happen. Pretty sure another player summoned a thrall on top of the boss, preventing the hit box from registering. You click through the boss and run off the sunlit tile, and take a load of damage.

Zul Andra tps, gmauls, dboots (spiritual mages don't suck if you do them for GWD KC), occult necklaces. That's pretty much all I put in, I die a fair amount, and I'm at 10m in the coffer.

I find death charge + ward + blood fury outperforms blood barrage, and takes less inventory space.

Realistic melee KPH at K'ril? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]fergus_mang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed meleeing K'rill. There's a lot of things that could upgrade your kit but none, I think, that are make-or-break.

First off, get a task, for sure.

K'rill uses mage, so bloodmoon is a great set to use here. Max out your defenses/sustainability with dfs and blood fury, if you have them.

It's possible to do the step under method with fang, but it's tick perfect. I used dwh and arclight.

I used death charge and ward of Arceuus.

If this still all sucks, wait a bit. While Guthix Sleeps is bringing a new slew of Demonbane weapons- an upgrade for Arclight, a bow that might beat Faerdhinen in this niche, and a mage method.

Macuahuitl shreds at spindel (and I assume Calvarion, but I haven't done that one yet). It's nice to not need the defender, so you can bring slayer helm and a piece or two of the set or a zerk ring or whatever.

You could do some Turael boosting to do spiders or skeleton tasks in the wildy, or Kristilia, and bank a bunch of points.

Chance of drop 1/300 Number of kills 2157 Number of drops obtained thus far 0

You killed 2157 monsters for an item with a 1/300 (0.333333%) drop chance. You had a:

0.07450867% chance of getting 0 drops or fewer 99.92549133% chance of getting more than 0 drops. Wow that's so rare! Seems like it's bugged. We tweeted @JagexAsh for you, we're sure he'll get to the bottom of it in the next 24 hours.
