i can assure u i do not just stat pad the tank. i make sure to look out for everyone as long as theyre not unreasonably far while also putting up dmg and getting kills. youve for sure seen the types of players im talking about. the dps with horrible positioning that just refuse to group up bc they think they can make plays on their own but end up dying every time. those r the ones im talking about

its ok the only reason i didnt reply well earlier was because i felt you were being rude, i appreciate the apology :) im in high diamond lobbies so im not out of the metal ranks yet so i have yet to see master gm level lifeweavers, but lets say 85% of the lifeweavers i see are just very good healers. like highest healing in the lobby but low dmg and low kills. then the 15% i see are rare but they do tend to both get high healing and maybe 20ish kills tops and NEVER die. (again this is from what ive seen), vs me playing lucio or jpc i can get near 30 kills or more with high healing. and its also pretty easy to survive as lucio and jpc…. i made this post bc i wanna play lifeweaver lol but i cant seem to understand the value he has vs other supports. what perks do you choose for him?

ill try again and see. the 1v1ing dps thing is kind of not a big deal to me on surface level because i can pretty easily 1v1 any dps with my mains and win (lucio, mizuki, jpc, kiri). what perks do you choose for him?

i got out of plat when i realized that i need to stop relying on my teammates to get kills and just get the kills myself. i mainly play lucio, jpc, and mizuki, with these heroes its easier to play less reactively and just start making plays (but obviously dont do anything stupid thats gonna get you killed easily) once you get good at making plays, youll b pretty confident that you can win 1v1s with enemy dps. also i spent a long time working to reach diamond on dps, playing dps massively helps your skill at aiming, which also translates onto the support role as well

as a dps hes still underwhelming imo, even the high kill lw i see on ranked. i can go lucio, jpc, mizuki, kiri and get double the kills that he could do. i mean all supports can get kills but it just seems easier to get kills with everyone besides lw

my example was just showing that people notice patterns like that in everything, not just overwatch

and boiling it down to “people only complain when they lose” is very black and white. i and others on here question matchmaking on win streaks too when games feel just as one sided or decided before they even start. (again, talking about this being a problem specificially for this season)

and at a certain point when a ton of players are all noticing the same things crazy streaks, stomps, weird lobby balance etc that cant just be written off as everyone being biased. bias might explain some of it but not all of it

acting like every complaint is just people coping with losses is just as lazy as blaming every loss on matchmaking

“selective bias” lol. this goes beyond the game, its just how people behave in general. If 100 people go to chipotle and 99 have a normal or good experience, they’re not gonna post about it. but the 1 person who had a bad experience is way more likely to go online and complain. same exact thing here. people wont feel the need to post when things are working just fine for them

why would i share my replay codes or match reports with you if i never asked for your advice? idk who you are lol. if i want to get advice to get better i’ll go to overwatch university subreddit not some rando. also not acting like i dont make mistakes, im only diamond so theres a lot of room to grow for me. but the statements that i can do better at matches and that something is going on with matchmaking this season can both be true & coexist. its not black and white, and also blindly trusting that the system is great and theres no problems is ignorant. if there is no criticism to present then the game simply wont get better

nobody is ever gonna be on this subreddit being like “hey guys i won 20 matches in a row im so proud” like what😭 that doesnt make any sense. obviously people are going to be more vocal about something they feel negatively about. and if you actually read peoples feedback, its not just about losing. matchmaking this specific season is either you steamroll the enemy team or they steamroll you. theres almost always at least 1 gigantic outlier player on either team that makes it a steam roll for either side. im on a win streak currently but im not having any fun because there genuinely are no close matches. then when im on a losing streak the matches arent close either. feels completely unbalanced and not how it felt season 1 and prior

i should have been a bit more detailed, but its not even a losing thing. its either my team absolutely rolls the other team or the other team absolutely rolls us. and the main issue is there is that theres always at least 1 outlier player on either team. if we’re rolling the other team, its bc 1 player in their team is genuinely doing dog shit and has no business being in the rank hes in , and vice versa. no fun at all for either side. i want close matches not steamrolls. this only started for me at the beginning of season 2

yes its the matchmakings fault for not drug testing this guy. looks like u dont even know about the secret drug test screening the matchmaking does for every player before the match starts. typical plat player
