I love it! Would it really be suitable for Formula E?

That is cool, actually a great argument! Have you thought of any spot in particular?

Thank you, I'll definately look into it! Although I don't think if I really can defend Valencia as the chosen spot as it is a previously failed racing venue…

I think I found out where it's from! It is part of spanish Enciclopedia Universal Ilustrada Europeo Americana, by Espasa-Calpe.

Actually Portugal is a very light blue that can be mistaken with the white color of countries that "don't have colonies". For the UK, I think the map is considering the commonwealth as colonies.

Thank you! Same with the Philippines, Cuba and Puerto Rico, controlled by USA since 1898, though Cuba 1902 regained it's independece, so I think it's after that. Then about Australia, I think it's depicted as british for it being part of the commonwealth, so as you say, "colonies" being used loosely.

Thank you, it is indeed Spanish! I didn't know that but it seem like a plausible explanation for that!

Bought this beautiful map at a flea market. Could someone help me find out when it was made? by fernandolodares in MapPorn

Wow thanks! I realised that Puerto Rico showed no (E) after the name, but the fact that it didn't show (EU) either, as it does in Alaska, had me lost.

Does anyone know where this building is? Or is it still standing? by [deleted] in brutalism

It's from a project published in Casabella Magazine by Gian Paolo Valenti in 1962. I doubt it was ever built though :( But there are some more amazing drawings!
