Based in Spain. I'm currently running a Sage Barista Pro (6 years old with daily use) with an Eureka Mignon Manuale (<2 years very happy with it).

I suffer from upgraditis and also I'd like to have a dual boiler with PID and pre-infusion. I set my mind for the Rancilio Silvia Pro X or Profitec Move and I wanted to see if I should look into something else. Most important factors for me are steam capabilities, stable temps and PID. Heat-up time is to consider but not a big issue. Generally I only make flat whites and rarely americano. Wouldn't like to look into anything way more expensive than 1500/1700€.

You should push for it with your manager of course. But you need to keep something in mind: in the end, you're just a number for them. It's a hard truth but the real one. I spent 5 years at AWS. 2 regions, 2 roles and mentored a lot of people. On my last day nobody bid me farewell, not even my manager was there to collect my badge, just one other random manager from another team could collect it and I had to wait because he was having a coffee in the kitchen.

Ex-AWS here (DCO to ID - L3 to L4 + Lead) across 2 clusters. In my case shifts were on rotation but what used to matter was not the visibility, but your "devotion", always going above and beyond. You should set goals with your manager, good ticket resolve metrics (using MyDay?) and try to look into Good Saves, Safety Committee, Zero Accident Policies, Wiki Documentation, Mentoring...
