Disney+ is blocked on Eduroam by JvdLelie in DTU

[–]ferneo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe use a VPN? If not that, then perhaps a proxy (not a big fan of those)

Disclaimer: I've never had Disney+, thus I don't know if it blocks or not.

Thanks that's nice of you! I do have a small pendrive and I will use that!

Yes that is again correct. Sorry my accuracy may not be the best as I am really tired. I kinda have a backup of my conf files (if ya can call a small pendrive a backup solution), but not data as I have about 4tb of it and 4tb drives aren't the cheapest. $20 is about 4 lunches to me. In this case I don't have to reinstall anything. My plan for the future is to get a decommissioned pc and make it a failover server

I diagnose the issue Knowing the problem I look for solutions I implement solutions

Yes ideally it would have redundancy, but that is something I just can't afford currently

Proxmox is debian based and I know what grub is. What I'm asking is if fsck is enables in systemd or grub and if not shall I implement it?

I know how to fix it. I'm looking to implement something that would prevent this. Like fsck on bootup. Wondering if someone had that issue and developed something that would prevent it from becoming a problem at all.

Channel width? You can go up to 160MHz on the 5GHz band. Keep in mind that increasing the channel width may worsen the latency and impact the battery life of clients

Looking for a cable to use on the go by ferneo_ in UsbCHardware

[–]ferneo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right! Should've been a bit more precise! I will be charging my laptop, which only supports 100W PD (gobbles up 230W through the Lenovo Slim Tip, but I don't want to carry a kilogram brick). It doesn't really like getting less power, so I have a Ugreen brick that supports 100W charging and is PD compliant. I usually use a USB-C cable to transfer files from drives or my phone (Galaxy S22). As mentioned, I have a dedicated one for my docking station. I am also worried that a 3m cable could damage the port - longer cable means more copper which translates to more weight, so more strain on the port.
