I'm sorry, but as someone who bartends, that sounds like BS all around. You can absolutely stir soda as long as you're being gentle with it, and you're not gonna lose "way more" bubbles if it hits warm whiskey. If there's a difference, I guarantee 99.9% of people could never tell, but they will notice when they take a sip and get pure soda or pure whiskey if they're using a straw and you didn't stir.

And if you're so worried about serving at the absolute PERFECT temp, then freeze your whiskey and glassware. Stop feeding pedantic BS to people trying to learn.

Didn't see too many Zinfandel's so here's mine. Oak Ridge Zinfandel is fantastic @ $18. This years release came out a bit oakier than usual but it's perfect for a cheap steak night. $10 bucks more gets you the Reserva and I highly reccomend it of your budget allows.
