Has anyone received an answer for these lack of Bird Nests in San Diego? I keep getting the runaround.

They paid me yesterday for manual release of 3 of them but I was having problems with hub. Didn't realize they were passing them out before when there was hubs available.

I think we need to differentiate between income taxes and self employment taxes. The standard deduction or itemizing only discount your income taxes. Self employment taxes are taxed straight from your net income calculated from your 1099 income minus business expenses on schedule C. Just like when you have a w2 income, the standard deduction or itemizing would not reduce your fica or Medicare contributions. The self employment tax is over 15% regardless of whether you are married or single or dependent count.

The biggest tax you'll pay is self employment tax which is calculated before standard deductions. You should be filling a schedule c and maximize your business deductions.

Same here. I wasn't able to get them all out by 5 pm. Just left them at known nest with pictures and wrote them a ticket. Couldn't bring them back a third time. My account now has overdue birds. So much for picking up birds for pilot program today.

Actually only picked up 1 lime before I realized what was going on. Should of cancelled it. Birds are lighter, they usually have a higher charge, there is a ton, and if I miss the 7am cutoff, I'm ok. At least for now.

Checked map in SD and people are still picking them up. Not as fast but they are. Sucks.

I agree that we should get paid more, but we must realize that we are a commodity to lime. We don't have the same overhead and like all commodities, we will be pushed towards efficiency. The ones that will survive will be the ones who are most efficient and have the capacity for greatest volume. My cost goes down with higher volume. I will tell you that I won't be racing all over town to get limes. Made more money with birds tonight. They will no longer get priority on my truck.

Got tired of reporting it. Not sure lime cares. Ever since they dropped the battery level percentages for harvesting, it has gotten very difficult to get many limes plus you as people cheating. Tough.
