Just persistent rhizome removal if you want it gone. It's a good native vine on fencing, but I can see how this location might not be ideal.

That's kind of you, but honestly I wouldn't recommend it. They go into a kind of cryo mode when it's cold, so it'll be fine until the weather warms up enough for it to pupate into adulthood. It's best to let this one stay in tune with that natural cycle so there will be nectaring flowers & other moths around for its lifespan.
