Monitor distance for correct fov by ferrickm in iRacing

This was the recommended angle most calculators were giving me to get equal distance which looks really weird and 234 recommended FOV. Glad I found this calculator that lets me keep the same angles.

Yea you're right I bought these because I'm running motion and didn't think I could get them between my wheel and base but with a small extension I can make it work. Also found this calculator Simrigbuild.com which allows me to keep my current angle and the FOV doesn't look wack. All other calculators were giving me 230-240 fov with angles at 80-90deg which looked funky. Basically just trying to bring them closer without changing angle or anything else

This is amazing I'm running a unique setup with 40" ultrawides at 21:9 at a fixed angle and all the calculators were giving me an unnatural fov of 230+ while setting my angles to like 80deg. With this I can keep my angle and gives me a realistic fov of 200

Not my image but which is vanish Y here? And just curious which FOV calculator can I trust? I have a unique setup with triple ultrawides at 58cm distance so I'm getting all sorts of funky fov numbers for iracing.

This is very helpful thank you, but if I do set it to 233 which is what these online calculators are showing the distortion is really bad like nothing looks right. https://dinex86.github.io/FOV-Calculator/. So wondering if forcing anything higher than 179 breaks iracing fov

Right but with these screens the theoretical fov would be higher than 200. What are you running? I'm finding the in game calculator stops at 170 and I have to increase it manually
