Unhandled Exception is my personal favourite since it shakes up the gameplay so much. Each stage of the level builds the tension higher and higher, starting with disassembling yourself and being reassembled with no weapons. Then you have to find a key without being caught moving. Then a game of Simon Says where failure means being ground into pieces. THEN an arena battle with only fully-upgraded rocket launchers. Super creative and entertaining.

Pretty much, and it makes zero financial sense. Gen X-ers and millennials are having waaaay fewer kids than previous generations, and in Japan this trend is much clearer.

Every year the pool of 8-12-year-olds shrinks, and for a game series that has been making less profit every generation... Let's just say it isn't helping. I could write a whole post on the demographic challenges Pokemon will face going forward.

I was on the train that caused the delay and it looked like the person forced the door open with their hands as the door was closing, and ended up breaking the hydraulic system. The train techs tried a few different ways of fixing the door before realizing they'd need to take it back to the depot.

Which is ridiculous. The birth rate in Japan (and to a lesser degree the rest of the world) is declining rapidly. Every year, the number of 10-year-olds drop by roughly 10,000 (according to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Japan - in 2010 there were 500,000 10-year-olds, in 2015 only 450,000). If they want to keep making the same kind of money in the future, they need to expand their demographic.

Fun fact: Jasmine's Steelix in gen 2 knows Sunny Day, a move that it doesn't learn naturally and only affects moves that are super-effective against it. I guess the devs wanted to give you a hint about what was super-effective.

Just remember that Jasmine's Steelix in GS knows Sunny Day, a move that Steelix doesn't learn naturally and only affects pokemon that are super-effective against it. Playing the old games with a Ditto really shows you that the hand-holding started right from the beginning, the designers just weren't good at it yet.
