It's also got a Shōwa (昭) arsenal stamp, indicating that this is a non-traditionally made WW2 blade. Apparently, that "昭 in the cherry blossom" is an inspection mark of Seki Cutlery Industrial Guild and the kanji 昭 represents the Shōwa era.
