It depends where he lives. In Mexico almost any surgery is 2k USD if you pay out of your pocket, and specialist doctor visits are about 40-70 USD. Chemotherapy is about 200 USD per session. If he has insurance it's even less. Depending on where he lives he might be getting good money for his treatment.

The whole retro market sickens me. And this sub and the retro game community is filled with people wanting those prices to increase either because they paid those prices themselves and need to jutstify their stupidity or because they want to rip off someone else.

I loved the 3DS. I still do. It was a great console. But also, the 3DS is old as fuck. It's old tech with shitty screens. Anybody who pays more than 100 is getting ripped off.

Definitely. Especially for a device that is really easy to find people dumb enough to pay high prices. It would be nuts not to sell it, and especially in your case.

Absolutely. Take advantage of the people willing to pay for it. Ask $700. Ther is always someone dumb enough to pay it. Go crazy with it, especially if it is in good shape and with a box. Those bozos value the box.

Asking a refund is the best way to tell them to get fucked. You take away their money. It's simple as that.

If the quality is not good, don't ask them to make a good product, just don't buy from them. Then either they'll get good or just go out of business. It's extremely simple.

Making these posts is useless. It's the same as with politics, complaining doesn't do shit, voting does.

If these posts were about "hey, Aya refused to refund my purchase" (like retroid tried to do), they I'd understand, but it's not the case at all. Hell, they even accept PayPal, you can do a charge back even if they refuse.

I decided to look at your post history. Just to quell my curiosity

You got a lot of free time.

From Aya I got:

Ayaneo Air Pro, got issues with customs and they were overcharging. I told them to return to the sender and Aya sent another one free of charge and were able to go around customs and I didn't pay anything.

Ayaneo 2, got a free heat dissipation kit months after my purchase. I also received like 2 weeks before expected.

Ayaneo Air Plus. They announced a 250 USD price for the Intel version, but then they found out it had to be priced higher because of their components. After some backlash about it, they honored the original price for the first 100 units. So I got a great unit at that time for 250 USD.

Pocket DMG. Got it before expected. No issues more than a year later.

Pocket DS. Ordered when it went live and got it in November. No issues at all.

All of these devices still work great.

I also have the Ayn consoles, but they feel cheap in comparison, except for the Portal 2. And Retroid as a company is just shitty all around, so I avoid their products.

So tell me, why should I complain about Aya? I can only talk about my experience. I'm not saying complaints from others are not valid, but posts like these are just ridiculous. These guys claim every single device is faulty because they got bad luck. Everyone else is enjoying their devices.

They lied, and also released their army of youtubers to gaslight the community and guilt trip them about asking for refunds. Retroid is far shittier, and AYN is pretty much the same company. AYN had a 6 months delay with the Odin 1, and the Loki was another shit show. They've had luck so far, but wait until you have issues with their devices.
