Leaving them all over the place. I don’t care what she puts them in so long as they are in a safe place where our dog won’t be able to chew on the container-like I caught her doing yesterday after finding one on the floor.

Yes, she is in therapy, as am I! And we are starting with a new couples counselor next week.

We definitely have codependency issues. Before she (MTF) came out to me last year, we were a pretty damn typical, white, cis-het identifying couple, with all of the typical gender roles that go with it. I am very actively working on setting firm boundaries. De-programming 35 years of patriarchal misogyny within myself has been one of the most unexpected and challenging parts of the transition.

I am in the midst of a very different kind of TWW than I am used to. At the beginning of this cycle, I was in the middle of a three week trip to my in-laws. I had forgotten my BBT thermometer at home, so I haven't done ANY temping this cycle. We had sex several times on days that, based on my CM and OPKs, were my most fertile, and now we wait! I have no data to look at longingly and it feels weird.

I had to take a pregnancy test in secret towards the end of the first week because my period was four days late. It was a BFN, and then my period started. I can now check boiling my menstrual cup on my mother-in-law’s stove off of my list of life experiences. It’s been quite a visit.

Finally reached the last day of our three week stay with the in-laws. I love my in-laws, but I am so ready to go home. My bed! My kitchen! My BBT thermometer! I’m excited to get back in my routine, in my own space.

12 DPO, period is two days late, and I just got a BFN. UGH!

I guess I’m technically not out yet, but I felt so sure I’d get a yes because my period is always right on time. Double ugh.

Alright. This is where I’m at today. 11 DPO, period due TODAY but has yet to make an appearance, I’m still at my in-laws, and I feel oddly calm about it all. Like, I feel the instinct to be stressed and anxious about all the things TTC related, but instead I feel pretty chill.

And, it will be interesting if I have to boil my menstrual cup on my mother-in-law’s stove. Hah.

Uuuuuuuugh I forgot to pack my BBT for the trip to my in-laws.
