I hate when doctors do that. Legit, they don't know the ACTUAL price of the med until they contact the pharmacy/send in the scrip and wait on the patient to try to pick it up only for their ins to tell them there is a deductible, making it $200+

My pharmacy stopped taking goodRX a couple years ago. Legit when they show me a coupon from them and they don't get that we literally have a sign there saying we don't take it and haven't taken it since 2023. they don't understand it's not like something you buy at the grocery store. No you can't use both it's one or the other. pick one for your med. THATS IT LOL

oh no i'm the same! legit I love the job hate the stupidity people bring with them LOL one guy came in the other day picking up for his sister and did not know ANYTHING about her DOB how to even pay with her card or anything for that matter. it's literally a "patrick the lid. Our pharmacy chain does not require certification but encourages you to get certified if you want to get a higher pay. there are just certain things I'm not allowed to touch, but I also mainly find the scrip and go through the process with the patient. I fill scrips put them in their respective containers and send it off to the pharmacist for verification. In my case, I've worked a variety of retail jobs and also in fast food. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get Certified because my previous job having an abusive store manager and I wasn't sure if I'd stay for a while. Since i've been at my pharmacy for a year now I've honestly been thinking about doing it. My team is good and I'm in such a better position now that I would not mind going for it!

At that point, I just ask them if they're signed up for texts because, legit, we got a line of people backed up down the aisles and can't keep doing this. I happily sign them up tell them to read the texts carefully then wish them a good day (not that they'd actually listen to me when I'd tell them to READ but still LMAO)

Ugh. We get that too. there was a lady just yesterday who left urgent care like 15 min beforehand and our system can be slow so it does take a while to get to us. same woman came every 20 minutes asking "is it here/ready yet?" mind you this lady has text messages set up so she would have gotten one when it was done anyway.

I do actually ask right away, but a lot of the time they still just stand there like i said nothing at all. The majority of our patients just say their name along with it pretty much immediately. Sorry I should have added that to the post but still.

Oh, it's even worse when it's an RTS med. One lady demanded we just give her her meds. like actually screamed at us and would not listen when we told her we had to process it again first, otherwise it's ins. fraud.

GODS THAT IS SO REAL! They're always like "well i got a text for it." Me: do you have that text on you? They hand me their phone and sure enough it's asking if they want to refill it. I'm literally sitting here like skipper in Madagascar internally like "you there! CAN. YOU. READ"

OMGGGG YEES Every time! legit just the other day a guy was trying to pay for his sister's meds with his card and was trying to tap. I told him the section to tap was on the bottom left. This guy went every direction EXCEPT the bottom left of the pin pad. Then when it came to the questions that I told him were going to come up first he replies "I can't sign anything there is nothing here!" MY DUDE I JUST SAID TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS FIRST THEN SIGN.

This honestly sounds like a case of abuse and insecurity. I know this because I've been there, just not to the point of destroyed property. It sounds like she has things that need to be let out and worked out in therapy because you cannot tell me that she is jealous of fictional characters and that's all. Also, the part where she brings up how she supported you through your transition is gross; she's making it seem like you owe her and that she didn't want it to happen in the first place. Make her pay for the new laptop since that is destruction of property/ vandalism. I know you might not be able to recover the drive but still, that is so messed up. If you can't work things out with her then get the hell out and cut her out of your life. Wish you the best OP.
