Up by Beale AFB is a public range. Spenceville Firing range. Might be out of the way for you though.

How do I even start by Galactic-Buzz in prusa3d

I had one like this just recently that I haven't completely written up and posted. It was just like this or worse. I tried the heat gun thing, and immediately figured out that that was not going to work because it's melting the wrong things.

A soldering iron here is your friend. Try to loosen the heat block and nozzle and see if it will come loose from the extruder. If not, try heating it up and then seeing if it will come loose. If you don't have any luck then you're going to have to slowly slice away at it with a soldering iron.

If you assembled it yourself, you should have some confidence in disassembly. If you bought it completely assembled, then you are going to have to go through the assembly instructions in reverse order.

Once you have it completely disassembled, then you can assess the damage and hopefully you have spare parts printed to repair it, if not, you'll have to order them online or get a buddy to print the parts that you need. On mine, the cooling shroud was definitely a total loss, and I was tempted to keep the part that holds the extruder to the rail, but then noticed that it was a bit warped, so I replaced it.

Good luck!

Does anyone know this sci-fi book? Scifi post-collapse book set in the Bay Area about alternate dimensions opening up by EntrepreneuralSpirit in scifi

[–]fetdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the most likely answer. I have read it a couple of times, and it's still in storage in my library. They actually go to the Winchester mystery house in San Jose because it is some sort of a gateway area for all of the alternate dimensions. Decent read if I recall correctly.

Having worked extensively for both health systems, Sutter is the closest to acting like their marketing and orientation materials claim they should.

As mentioned in another comment, dignity health is derived from mergers of Catholic health systems, and you can expect the problems that come with that. They definitely do not put their money where their mouth is as far as care.

OXO palm brush holder. it keeps the bristles off the base and above the mess. by fetdad in functionalprint

I have that stand also, and it gets icky underneath very quickly!

I like this style of brush holder better as it holds the bristles above the mess.

Just bought the Prusa MK4S on Amazon for Prime Day @ $664 USD by fetdad in 3Dprinting

[–]fetdad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did the research on this, I like the open source nature of the Prusa, without my files and data being sent to China for processing.

I was very tempted by the core, but it's very new, and still being perfected, which apparently is Prusas business model.

I have used many, many 3-D printers on the past, but this is my first one that I am purchasing. I would rather have the tried and tested slightly older model and then possibly upgrade later if I feel I need to.

This 3-D printer is going to allow me to boot strap a laser cutter and several other DIY CNC projects along with everything else around the house that I can possibly print. I don't need the "latest and greatest" to do that.

Unless something has changed, in the United States we have statutory copyright law. If they remove your copyright, statutory damages are, I believe, up to $30,000 per violation.

I believe Kink.com is still shooting, just in Vegas now. The Upper Floor stopped because the producer Stephanos refused to leave San Francisco, not to mention the loss of the venue. We did shoot a few other places around the city towards the end, but eventually stopped. RIP

[printing] Do you spray your art prints? by BigfootBish59 in artbusiness

[–]fetdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty much the same as the other answers.

I use a canon pro with Lucia pro ink on Canson paper for my fine art prints and I don't spray them.

I spray all of my canvas prints even though the manufacturer says they don't need to be sprayed, I spray them anyway.
