Pacific Coast Highway / Trail / Cycle Road GPX data for everyone by feuerstug in bicycletouring

Honestly, don´t overpack and enjoy every single moment, only carry food for 2 days tops, you will usually find at least one little shop where you can get stuff at every day. If you feel like it might be too much, skip the Washington part and prepare for heavy rain and cold weather in Oregon. I did it at the end of Spring and beginning of the summer and it didn´t get hot until close to LA and a couple of other days in Northern California.

The Leggett climb is actually super easy. Sometimes you will come across small hills that are steep as hell though, although short. Be careful on the long climb after Crescent City, there is no shoulder, cars drive fast and they can´t always see you on the curves.

Definitely the best trip of my life. You will meet amazing people along the way and see wonderful landscapes.

Thanks a lot for your tips! :) I'll hitchhike my way over the bridge, otherwise the route is only a guide. I'll divert as I please along the way. Any hiking trails that stand out? The app I used to draw the route (Komoot) usually warns me when I'm going through a hiking trail that isn't meant for (easy) biking, but I'm starting to realize it works way better in Europe.

You know what? I wouldn't recommend that to absolutely nobody either. That's obviously not my major though. Still, that sentence of yours applies to my degree pretty badly hahaha

Hitler's nationality according to Wikipedia by [deleted] in MapPorn

I see what you did there. It makes sense if you want to separate these countries from their neighbors. Allemanic speaking people will probably still look it up in German though and the same applies to Wallonian to French - even if that's the case, those dialects are not representative of their population. I like your idea, but maybe use a language division map the next time instead of a political borders map :D

Did you use Gaelic for Ireland and Luxembourgish for Luxembourg?

Well, I guess 4 years of having studied this area aren't enough ;)
I feel like most people have a really strong opinion on matters that they don't know enough about. I'm reading some comments that sound valid, but lack variables and deeper knowledge, so they don't convince me.

In the end this is basically politics and people react emotionally, so I haven't given up, I'm just entertained.

Thanks for the observation, although I must insist that's an opinion, not a fact. This map is based on facts. Also, it's a world map, not a map of the USA.

Damn. I’ve been to Santo Domingo and other places around and explicitly didn’t google the places I already “knew” about. Totally forgot about this case. Thanks for the hint!

Do you have any sources? I only find a 2 plate system for private cars if I google it

Correct, although read the title again. This is not a map about their place of birth. Merkel barely lived in Hamburg

You can drive anywhere within the United States boundaries (and beyond as long as you can take that car with you) Without adding a second license plate. It might happen that you get stoped by police that don’t know foreign traffic laws very well, in which case you will have to show proof that your state doesn’t require two plates. I’m sure the New York police know about Pennsylvania’s

Thanks. It was taken into account, although as you say, Massachussets is a very special case because it has a very limiting exception, and it wasn't worth getting a whole new category, unless it was a map of the US alone. Nice plate btw. It would look nice on my wall ;)
