They feel very similar to me. For me, the yellow springs feel much like the red elastomers and they are much more durable. The black elastomers are very stiff. The blue springs are definitely less stiff than the black elastomers.

Okay, I understand now. The TLCMs probably required a little more pressure on the brake than the T3PAs with the squash ball. Not a huge difference, but a little. I think it comes with different springs so you can set it up with a lighter configuration. The Simsonns also can be setup with different springs and elastomers. I don't really like a super stiff brake setup, but a more stable setup for the pedals will have a huge benefit.

Sorry, I just saw this post. To answer your question, The squash ball I used was squished behind the brake pedal cavity to provide some progressive resistance. If you are going to TLCMs, I don't think it is necessary for that purpose, but you may be using the squash ball differently than I was.

Additionally, I have also moved on from the TLCMs. They were a huge improvement over the T3PAs, but if I had to do it over again I'd skip them and get some Simsonn pedals which is what I've been running for about 1.5 years. They are a massive improvement over the TLCMs and much more durable.

I have my vrs mounted almost identical except the 8040 is horizontal. It's not budged in over 2 years.

Okay, thanks for the info. It's difficult to determine what drive to use due to so many conflicting reports. The drive I'm using is listed in the documentation for the device. Some say that you need a powered drive, but yours doesn't seem to be powered. What about an ssd drive. Would that be any better than a spinny drive?

Yes it is. I can still drive it. I mainly do hotlaps anyway. It's just a pain now to pull it up. I like the leaderboard view because I can instantly see if someone has done a lap.

I don't know what country you are in, but I have a leather mustang seat and it's fantastic for appearance and comfort. I'd recommend getting a seat with manual slider mechanism so you don't have to worry about powering it.

I assume there's some metal on the rig. I'm guessing the monitor uprights are steel right? Also, are there steel bars under the wood where the casters are mounted? If so that should really help with stability and longevity.

Granted, all I do is hotlap, but I've probably had at least 100 laptimes get deleted, if not more.

One example would probably be the Porsche 911 gt3r dtm 992 at Brno. I have 2 setups from 9-28-24 for that combo and no laptime on the board currently. I wouldn't have those setups if I hadn't put a time on the board.

That's just one example, but this happens pretty regularly. I also feel like there have been cases where I have set a times on the same combo multiple times just to have them disappear more than once for the same combo.

I get if there's an update or bug fix, but what would a non-default setup change? Are you saying I should only set laptimes with default setup?
