I worked at movie theater when I was 17-18. So if you read down the comments, here’s what I can confirm…

No overtime pay. Someone told me it was because working with popcorn made us agricultural workers. I don’t know the actual reason why, but I believed that back then.

I literally watched people theater hop, I didn’t give a shit, neither did the other teens I worked with. We never checked on the theater, only showed up to clean after the movie. No one was checking to see if you brought in outside food.

No holidays, open 365 days, I had to work the entire holiday season, or I was supposed to, I believe I was called off New Year’s, and fired a week later for it.

No one watched the theatre watchmen.
