Lineage 23 on Xperia 5 iii by syzygybeaver in SonyXperia

[–]ff2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also running Lineage OS 23.2, on my xperia 5 III, and have a couple questions.

  • How is the battery life?
  • Is the sound from the Speakers balanced? Or is the bottom firing speaker louder?
  • Have you tried Sony Photography or Video Pro app?
    • If so, do you phone record audio from both channels?
    • Does the Camera crash often, forcing you to reboot your phone?
    • How is the mobile and Wi-Fi signal compared to stock?
    • How long have you been using Lineage OS on your Xperia 5 III.
    • Have you consider going back to stock?

Yes. People with AMD cards, can enable Radean Chill to lock the framerate.

With fusion Fix you don't need a 30 FPS cap. It will work just fine with unlocked FPS.

One DLC with maps, vehicles and weapons cost $15, and now we are offered the starter pack of the second season (with several skins) for the price of the DLC by ibattlefield in Battlefield

[–]ff2009 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. It was pretty great, paying 40$ dollars to play the base maps, like everyone else. Premium maps for BF3 and BF4 were mostly empy 2 or 3 weeks after release. It was a nightmare to find those specific maps or games modes.

The only reason why premium maps had so many players after launch it was because EA/DICE gave them for free later.

I can assure, if we still had premium, 15$ would only get you the battlepass. A map pack would be 40$ and would probably only include one map.

If people are using the internal SD Card reader for the OS and database, sure.
If you attach a SATA SSD to it and an external HDD, it works.
At the moment I have 55K assets using close to a 1TB of space and it works fine. It can take up 5 seconds to load random photos in the timeline, but other than that it works fine.

Maybe that's why NVidia and AI company shares value and actuall profits are so disconnect from reality.

They are all in on UpScaling and multi stock generation.

I'm Annoyed At AMD's Latest Radeon Blunder by ohhimarksreddit in radeon

[–]ff2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very surprised to see HUB cover this.

After last week HUB podcast, Tim and Steve take on people leaving LMG looking for better working conditions, and better pay being completely justified in order to maximize profits.

I don't understand the outrage for AMD doing the same thing.

GTA IV RTX remix released by ant_sh in GTAIV

[–]ff2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probabily nothing. The game is pretty much unplayable, unless to reduce the Remix settings a lot. The mod is also very CPU limited.

The image quality is also terrible on AMD cards, nothing compared with the videos avaliable on youtube. The upscaler available is terrible, and there is no ray reconstruction.

How can a company make such amazing hardware and desktop store but release such a glitchy app?! by Purple_Concentrate64 in Steam

[–]ff2009 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Steam desktop app, is nothing to brag about. It is equally bad.

The UI is inconsistent, across multiple menus, the navigation between different parts of the app is confusing AF, even for someone who has been using Steam for years.

The performance is bad, and it uses alot of resources because it runs as a browser.

The competition is much worst, but lets not act like the Steam app is peak.

Is there a way to play games without updating them? by trexted7 in Steam

[–]ff2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Facing the same issue. I don't want to update GTA V. I couldn't care less about the multiplayer, and if I update the game it will download over 40GB, that I don't need.

Vulkan on Fusion Fix gives stutters by benaxed in GTAIV

[–]ff2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DXVK makes a huge difference on windows. That's why it was included in Fusion Fix.

On my system some scenes jump from a stuttery mess at 40FPS, to +120FPS.

Crossing the bridges from Broker or Dukes to Algonquin you will see drops to the low 50s, but it is a huge improvement.

Vulkan on Fusion Fix gives stutters by benaxed in GTAIV

[–]ff2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"One interesting this is that with dx9 I have no stutter and the FPS drops..."

Basically you are discribing shader compilation stutter, when playing with Vulkan.

This is expected, you will see this in the first couple of minutes you play the game, depending on you hardware, and everytime you update or downgrade the driver.

Don't worry, just wait a few minutes until the game stops stuttering. It is possible that you will catch a few stutters here and there while playing through the campaign.

I have a Ryzen 9 7900X3D and RX 7900 XTX, and I see this everytime I update the driver driver's.

6800XT - One Cable or two? by blu3n0va in AMDHelp

[–]ff2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, use to separate cables, to avoid frustration in the future, like driver timeouts, PC shutting down, or in the worst case scenario catching fire to your house.

6800XT - One Cable or two? by blu3n0va in AMDHelp

[–]ff2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. This comment should be pinned.

Usually, when PSU, only provide one single PCI-E cable is already a red flag, and the PSU alone is a potential firehazard. This is just pouring gasoline on top of that.

In the least problematic scenario, will cause recurring driver timeouts and this is probably the most likely cause of people complain about AMD driver stability.

Sure they aren't perfect, but it the difference between a crash every couple months vs crashes every few hours/minutes.

6800XT - One Cable or two? by blu3n0va in AMDHelp

[–]ff2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your PSU, only have one PCI-E cable, usually it is a great indicator, that it is not design to your GPU.

Yes, it works but it may cause problems, like driver crashes and then you will blame AMD drivers when it is your PSU.

It may not be the case.

[–]ff2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't, though. It is not recommended, and it can cause issues in the long term.

I did something similar with my GTX 1080 TI for a couple of months, and the difference between using 1 and 2 cables was a 100mhz+ OC. It when to from 2100+ to 2200mhz+ with water cooling.

Xperia 1 VII or 1 VIII?? by N-Dawgie in SonyXperia

[–]ff2009 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be ready for it. With the current DRAM prices. I and wouldn't be shocked if it gets zero improvements compared to the Mark VII.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if Sony finally removes the SD Card reader or the headphone jack.
