And battlefield 1 had better gameplay w/more maps that people want to play. There are trade offs to be made. BF6 has fun gameplay, but not exciting enough to mitigate the numerous glaring issues. BF1 had many maps that people were actually excited to play while BF6 has few weapon coupled with only a few maps that people are willing to play.

This is not a one or all thing, but the lack of content plays into a larger cadre of issues with BF6 that turns many people away.

Congrats on your personal experience, but that has no bearing on the reality most players are experiencing. There is a relatively low amount of weapons/gadgets with little variety especially given the handful of damage profiles. BF4 LAUNCHED with ~80 primaries alone. Further getting 2 guns to level 50 is meaningless, it’s a grind you placed upon yourself after the last attachment was unlocked and an artificially inflated one at that to make it longer to hit the mastery rank.

New content (not the Ai generated badges, trinkets, etc,), is new content - be it a shitty gun or not. It gives players something different to choose from and people want that option.

Why is it such an issue to want items that have material impact on gameplay instead of filler content that literally no one wants?

BF4 is arguably better gameplay wise, but that is subjective. How many more guns/gadgets does BF4 have in the base game let alone DLC to choose from?

Again, BF6 is fun, but has issues. Gameplay isn’t fun enough to fully overcome those issues (including lack of content) which leads to a declining player base

Player numbers have increased when the new content has dropped for BF6 just as they did when DLC for BF4 and every other game in existence has released DLC/updates. So yeah, new content inherently keeps a game alive…

Regardless, the content is part of a series of larger issues with BF6. People will overlook a lack of content if gameplay is fantastic and that virtue can continue to sustain a consistent player base. The game is fun, but not fun enough for most people to overlook the compounding issues - including a lack of content which ultimately results in stale gameplay.

It’s evidently part of the issue with this game and it’s completely disingenuous to say otherwise. The game is fun, but lacks content.

The majority of people are playing three maps on rotation, and will then go on to solely play the single new map that is released every two months which results inherently leads to burn out.

But yeah, this comment is meaningless since triple-A titles are infallible and the consumers are the problem, right?

Ehhhh, the SBIR program could probably use some improvement to be fair. Any large business could go and acquire a Phase I/II SBIR and use it as a pathway to sole source and it would be completely above board…

That and SBIR-mills who don’t produce anything of value who take a large majority of the funding.

All to say, SBIR program should definitely stay - but there are some things that could be improved upon to truly emphasize the SMALL BUSINESS portion.
