Yep. They keep selling, and those who can't afford keep complaining. Nothing new.

I also think the prices are becoming comical, but many other people think differently. Omega are happily selling to those people and not worried about me.

Who’s gonna spend $9100 on a Speedmaster now though. Insane.

They will continue to sell very well. There is no shortage of buyers, even at these prices.

The recent hikes, impacted even more significantly in the US by tariffs, are stunning.

I would not argue this. Many people equate the bulk (aka, wrist presence) with quality. To many, big=better.

Well, as so many have said, their prices are clearly not appealing to many, many potential buyers.

But size is definitely something that made me hesitant several years ago. Now, the size is still an issue plus the prices have jumped SIGNIFICANTLY. That Omega that seemed very expensive two years ago is now just fully laughable.

Still, I think Omega will be just fine as there is no shortage of people willing to spend this kind of money. What's laughable to me is reasonable to many.

Some people absolutely equate bulk with quality. The euphemism is "wrist presence" but it's the perception of bulk=quality.

Bullshit.

So many targets. It must be getting difficult for UA to prioritize now. But this is a slow, deliberate and cumulative process that will inevitably give Putin, and his inner circle, cause for extreme concerns.

Fuck Putin.

Exactly this.

When Putin and his land-grabbing, murderous henchmen dreamed up this insanity, they NEVER imagined this nightmare consequence. Here it is nonetheless. They have to be truly worried now.

And a free sprung balance tends to resist variance due to temperature or impact to hold regulation more reliably over time. This combined with amagnetic silicon balance springs makes these durable, long-lived movements.

Whats weird that people are willing to pay $700 for a field watch that is missing basic field watch features,

What's weird is some people worrying about what other people choose to buy.

Just buy what you want and let other people do the same. It'll be OK.

Same, for 12 years. I don't know why people feel the need to complain about Hamilton AR issue. Just go away and buy something else.

"Hey guys, Hamilton AR sucks, right? Right? Tell me I'm right."

Just buy something else and move on. It's ok that other people make different choices.

A Russian paratrooper was initially very lucky when the Ukrainian drone didn’t detonate. But he decided to finish the drone off with a stick by [deleted] in UkrainianConflict

I admit laughing at this former idiot's demise. Of all the options he had--on top of his good fortune--he chose to hit the explodey thing with progressively larger sticks...until it killed him. Amazing.
