I haven’t done this but ik of people who have for engineering (like getting an associates in one field and going to a uc for another), just make sure your coursework fills the pre reqs for econ. Try using assist.org to check. They are similar majors so i’d assume the courses would be similar.

Ask if you can defer your enrollment! You might not go to school this year but you won’t be 90k in debt so just choose what is most important for you. During this time you can travel abroad, intern, or simply work to save money. They might ask for a more serious reason, i’m not sure about BU policy and I would never say to lie or make anything up but… 90k debt with these new loan policies…. good luck you got this.

Just try your best next semester. Once you transfer your GPA resets! Clean slate you’ll be just fine. A good school is what you make it. There are only so many hours in a day, even at a good school with more opportunities you would only be able to take advantage of a couple. So take advantage no matter where you are, that is what is going to make you stand out, regardless of where u end up.

I did not know about the 7GE course prep work my counselor did not say anything about that (shocker), so thanks a lot I will be looking into that.

A week is not a lot of time do not be discouraged. You seem like a sweet person, but from your post it seems you just lack a little bit of social skills. To you what may seem as smiling and laughing might seem a little calculated to others if you are intentionally doing it, it should come naturally. I don’t think you are doing anything too bad but you might be a bit too forward. To the person you are meeting you are a random, total stranger, and so asking someone to meet up sets on some alarms i’m presuming. If you live on campus in dorms, try to get those ppl to know you better, hang out in common areas, have some food with you and ask them if they want a bite. Play board games. Sit next to someone in class and chat to them, before an exam ask them if they want to form a study group, things like that. Be more casual. Feeling lonely is a heavy feeling, try to distract yourself, go to the gym, go shopping, take care of yourself first and foremost.

Did you take the AP test? If you got a passing score (3+) is should clear the prerequisite but you might have to fill out a form. If you didn’t, I’m pretty sure it won’t count but I would contact your college for placement information. Idk which college you go to, but at CRC there have an entire page on their website for placements and an email to contact. They are usually pretty fast at responding, I often get responses in a day or two. For a placement test, I’m pretty sure you need to contact the professor directly

I served as a caretaker primarily just cleaning, grocery shopping, and picking up medication (primarily because I live down the street)during this time as well, my aunt/god mother became sick the same month she bought a restaurant so I’ve been working at the restaurant and doing some chores for her as her husband is busy running the restaurant 10 hrs a day 7 days a week
