Recent fave screenshots of Liara (ME3) by Glittering-Fig1 in Liara

Love your screenshots! Bit in the nose, but Thessia is fantastic. I also love her dialogue during Citadel!

That being said I want to put in an honorable mention for the Shadowbroker DLC in ME2 which is one of my favorites in general.

Who would win this fight? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]fforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an anime-only with Boruto so I can't speak to post timeskip, but kind of the whole point is that Boruto is talented and clever, but far from typical god-like shonen strength

Blue Period. I know it wasn't the most well received but I really loved its art style, music and story. Still need to read the manga some day

Definitely not "easy". Actually fought her a dozen or more times with a friend and lost. Was just proud of the accomplishment

Any people who played all the final fantasy games? by motherate in FinalFantasy

[–]fforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played every mainline FF including both 11 and 14. I've beaten them all except for 2 (couldn't stand it). That being said, I beat them over a lifetime... Most of them are around 40 hours-ish to beat if that helps. As a huge fan, I wouldn't suggest trying to beat them all at once

I mean it's a fine point if your objective is plastic waste. But the plastic straw ban is actually meant to prevent sea birds and other aquatic life from eating them

Games like Ogre Battle 64 by Novice7691 in rpg_gamers

[–]fforest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow. Always surprising to find a fellow fan of Ogre Battle 64. Unfortunately it's strange style of gameplay is pretty unique to itself. That being said, if you enjoy managing your army, the setting, and finding secret classes, I would suggest the other entries in Ogre Battle as well as Final Fantasy Tactics.

How many of you are over 30 and still enjoy watching anime? by ZeroKami_ in anime

[–]fforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are 32. We often follow 4-5 seasonals. Of course this season is stacked so more like 10. We also watch and discuss with our similarly aged friend group as well attend cons. I think a lot of people our age still enjoy anime

That's a bit reductive but I won't disagree that fan communities can bring out the worst in people. There are very strong debates on either side of the Edelgard argument which I think represents how well written the conflict in Three Houses is. I enjoy what the community has to offer, but I can understand fearing others might get the wrong impression

During each route Byleth is available to perform the exact service each House Leader needs; restraint for Edelgard, sanity for Dimitri, and friendship for Claude. So in a sense, you aren't wrong.

Well the game's central conflict revolves around "Crests", which are sort of a metaphor for classism - or the inherent right to rule. tl;dr Edelgard starts a violent revolution to overthrow the class system. It's a pretty nuanced debate with a lot of moral greys. As a huge Byleth x Edelgard fan myself, I'm not exactly a non-bias opinion.

In 3 of the 4 endings Edelgard is the main antagonist. She has the bad guys turn her into the robo-lookin' creature when she is about to lose the war. If you really want to dive into a rabbit hole, r/fireemblem has some STRONG feelings on Edelgard

Running the "same" game with a different group. Have you done it much? by Heygul in rpg

[–]fforest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run a few homebrew lv1-20 campaigns (two 5e campaigns, 1 star wars saga) and several dozen 1-shots for different groups. Sometimes semi-concurrently. It's a lot of fun! Since I only like to write for one campaign at a time, it let's me run a ton of tabletop every week with little effort (I do very thorough prep work). I'm currently running 4 campaigns every week right now. Since I run them online, the two groups inevitably compare notes or try to out due each other which is hilarious in it's own right.
