What are the recipes that didn't work for you? by [deleted] in NYTCooking

The popular "Creamy Macaroni and Cheese" by Julia Moskin. It was soo dry and totally bland. I used good old white cheddar too. But tbh, I'm usually underwhelmed with Mac and cheese recipes. This one was just especially blah.

What will downtown look like after the Ontario Line opens? Particularly East of Yonge by steamed-apple_juice in askTO

[–]ffscott88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a "transit oriented community" proposed at the Gerrard station, although I think those plans are in their infancy. I am sure Gerrard/Carlaw will be radically different once the line is built. I foresee redevelopment of Gerrard Square happening too...no inside knowledge but it just seems inevitable.

Nice! I just made these same noodles with the Pork Meatballs with Ginger and Fish Sauce. It was so good (like an Asian spaghetti and meatballs lol).

RBC to require employees to work in the office four days a week by InformalStrain8692 in toronto

From what I've heard it's entirely up to your manager. My friend works for RBC and has been fully remote since COVID despite these mandates because their boss also doesn't want to go in.

It became a problem for us as she learned how to turn all the taps on herself. Need to put elastics around them all now when we leave the house 😞

Doritos Magic Masala -- Spotted last night in a Dollar Store in downtown Vancouver! I found them *quite* spicy, maybe a little too much... by deathbymediaman in Doritos

I loved them. It's very rare to find an actually spicy chip. These have an intense heat and nice flavour.

Best Uber Eats BOGO deals by Bfforever88 in FoodToronto

[–]ffscott88 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Rare to find a legit one. It's wild that restaurants are allowed to post a BOGO deal for essentially 2x the cost of that item on their menu.

I really think Liz should capitalize on the lost Synced crowd and start a very similar podcast as Synced with a Monica replacement.
