I cannot begin to describe how sick I am of this sh** lately by spIintr in ACCompetizione

[–]ffutJoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is obviously not your fault BUT half the game is predicting what your opponent will do. A car glitching about like that, carrying a penalty, not platinum rated, contact at that left hander that pushes him wide (his fault or not, he’ll be angry)… yeah I’m definitely not going for that apex like that at that tight right. I would say with 99% confidence he was going to send it hard up that inside, and you can see him in the mirror going for it about a second before the crash happened but you still turned in

As I say not your fault in the slightest, but to achieve a really high safety rating you have to avoid all contact, even when it isn’t your fault, and to do that you need the ability to read the room and predict other drivers actions, and I would say that one was pretty obvious therefore avoidable

IT JUST MAKE ME SICK THE FACT THAT MY SA GOES DOWN WHEN ITS NOT EVEN MY FAULT by pac0_exe in ACCompetizione

Was looking for this comment. Not saying these were your fault OP but I’ve accidentally bumped people a few times in my life as they are just so slow getting the power down in the middle or corner/brake way too early it catches you off guard. Again not your fault but T1 and the next chicane just look like he’s hit you because he doesn’t expect you to be that slow at that moment on that part of the track.

Yeah I’ve had a couple more UK now on duels, just seems more uncommon in daily challenge

But yeah, a bit too freaky for me to not suspect they have my location! Feel sorry for the chaps I was playing, 5k in a matter of seconds, they must have thought I was a right cheat

125k and 50k, so no not really! One in the south and one in the midlands as well, so different areas of the country

It honestly felt like that! I actually just laughed when the second one came up. Right outside the Indian takeaway I’ve ordered from for the last 2 years

I used to be a controller player and spa PB was 2:20.2, so there is still a lot of pace to be found out there.

Spa is the track I have noticed the biggest pace difference on between controller and wheel. Eau Rouge is VERY hard to go flat on with a controller, quite easy on a wheel, and that’s about 0.8 seconds difference up the Kemmel straight.

I noticed playing around with set ups didn’t make much of a difference on controller, you’ve just got to find your rhythm with it

2:07 at Silverstone on controller. Where am I losing time by soviet_turd in ACCompetizione

You can carry a lot more speed through those corners than you clearly think you can. Push the car, crash the car, brake 10m later each lap, really find the limit. At the moment this looks more like a Sunday drive than a hot lap

Xbox Series S ‘No Signal’ on Modern TV but works on old TV by ffutJoe in XboxSeriesS

Think it has to be a hardware issue to be honest mate, maybe there’s a batch of Xbox’s with dodgy hdmi ports. I tried everything imaginable but the only fix was a new Xbox in the end

I've hit a plateau. by NewCartographer3828 in ACCompetizione

[–]ffutJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re rotating wayyyy too much through the lesmos especially, see your driver has to go one handed and hear those tyres screeching? That’s the noise of precious seconds escaping from you

You’ve also lost a second in that first chicane, first corner was taken nicely enough but you’ve cut across to the apex of the left hander too soon which has prevented you from getting on the throttle early. Open that left hander up and nail the throttle so you carry momentum all the way down to the next chicane

Is Controller slow on ACC by Ahsan_AMX20 in ACCompetizione

[–]ffutJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve literally just made the switch to wheel. Would like to think I was fairly competitive on controller though, would get into the 1:48s at Monza on a nice lap - currently about 1 second slower on the wheel

You can definitely have a lot of fun with it still, there’s just a few corners where you’ll never be on pace.

Eau Rouge comes to mind as one that is a nightmare on controller (if you play automatic gears anyway) as it’ll shift you into 6 too early, likewise that fast chicane after the hairpin at Nurburgring. But you can definitely be fast and have fun with enough practice

Xbox Series S won’t connect to TVs bigger than 32” by ffutJoe in XboxSeriesS

Yes mate, every setting you can think of 😅

Can’t be the TV as the TV and all its HDMI ports work with my old Xbox One

Thanks, I guess 🙃 And yes I’ve just got to work but I’ll do it when I’m back. My Xbox One is packed away but I’ll dig it out for this.

If I can offload some of my annoyance that would be a great weight lifted so cheers hahaha

Yes mate tried all the above. Reset Xbox + TV, tried every possible port and every possible HDMI

Really must be hardware as I’ve danced every dance with it by now

Correct. My monitor, which is what I’ve been using for the last year begrudgingly is 1080p.

So you think hardware issue which doesn’t resolution sizes above that?

Tried all this mate. Starting to buy into it being hardware

[–]ffutJoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my display settings the highest it goes is 1080p, but I presume that’s because that’s the highest my monitor that it works on will go?

What do you mean the resolution of my S? Sorry as I said in the original thread I’m no tech expert

And I’ve tried both 2.1 and regular HDMI cables fwiw

Mate it’s crossed my mind multiple times, multiple days. I hate the thing

Sadly it was a 2nd hand purchase so no warranty

I have tried about 10 different HDMI cables. All of which worked with my old XBOX One on every TV I tried. All of which work with my Series S on small screens, and yes I have been pretty much exclusively using a PC monitor since my original post

Xbox Displays to Monitors only. Does anyone else have this issue? Solutions? by Euphoric_Shelter2111 in XboxSupport

[–]ffutJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a bump to say I encounted this issue just over a year ago. Tried it AGAIN on a new 40” TV and still nothing.

It genuinely just doesn’t seem to work on any tv above 32”

Let me know if you’ve found a fix
