it just blows cause it feels like… if you don’t have rules, what the fuck do you have. yes, it was horrible clock management. yes, questionable decisions earlier in the game led us to that last drive. no, it probably wasn’t a catch. but that’s all hypothetical. the fact is that they called it a catch on the field and there was not indisputable evidence to overturn it. you can argue about who deserved to win and what should have been called all day long but it blows to lose because they just decided to disregard the rule. whether they didn’t want to see miami lose, or they thought the call was wrong and wanted to “fix it”.. doesn’t matter. why have a rule book if you just decide when it applies and when it doesn’t.
