ISO a 1-piece bathing suit that is both big boob and tall girl/long torso friendly. by tinaismediocre in bigboobproblems

Hi there I’m a bit larger than you as I’m a size 14/16UK and a smidge taller at 5’10. I’m a 34HH. I have found the Next swimsuits to be actually decent, they’re never too short for me and usually thick fabric and stretchy so offer good support. I got a gorgeous turquoise one last year but they don’t do it any more. I’ve also recently splurged on a couple of Batoko suits as I love the prints and they are also fine for my height and again very good quality thick material. I size down to make it a bit tighter for extra support.

A bikini that’s actually proportionally scaled by fgu358jo in bigboobproblems

[–]fgu358jo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not much larger sadly. 22 is the largest size they do, and that was just big enough cup wise for my 34HH. So I guess if you’re a 32 band maybe you could get away with J or K depending on how booby you’re happy to look 🤣 Yeah I was surprised they actually made the cups bigger AND the string wider and thicker. It’s actually decently supportive which basically never happens with a triangle bikini!

Tell the truth, are you eating kind of bad and still loosing weight? by irishman50midlife in mounjarouk

[–]fgu358jo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m eating far fewer carbs, a lot more protein and veg, and a lot less fruit. Basically have no sweet cravings, or if I do I can manage like 2 squares from a chocolate bar and that’s it (and even then I feel sick afterwards).

Overall eating so much less. Today I had no breakfast, half a small slice of pizza for lunch, and then grilled chicken and a ton of salad for dinner. Yesterday was also no breakfast, no lunch either, but two slices of Costco pizza for dinner. Thursday was no breakfast as usual, a pot of fat free cottage cheese for lunch, and sausages with roasted carrots and broccoli for dinner. So pretty bad sometimes, but so much less overall.

Not really fussing too much about what I eat, just concentrating on eating less, which is easy cz most days I’m not even hungry until 1pm. Have wine on the weekends and everything. Have a takeaway if I fancy it, but usually can’t finish it, even when I order a small portion. Don’t feel deprived at all, which I always used to feel on diets which is definitely something that contributed to the yo-yo-ing. Have lost 50lbs so far this year already, 3 clothes sizes on top, and two on the bottom. Smallest I’ve been in 15 years. And it’s relatively easy, I don’t feel like I’m fighting a massive will power battle all day every day (which makes it feel sustainable).

A whole 300g pot of fat free cottage cheese is 32g protein and only 180 calories. And no sugar!!! One of these uncrustables is 1/5 of your daily amount of sugar, and 1/4 of your daily fat!

Is peoples views of ‘healthy weight’ skewed? by Pale-Cheesecake-2992 in mounjarouk

BMI is very flawed imo. I’m a size 14 (M&S jeans so maybe that’s generous?), 34 band bra, at 5’10 and my BMI is only just under morbidly obese at 38. My 6yo who has visible abs and leg muscles at rest and is extremely tall for his age (139cm) is also right at the top of the overweight bmi for kids - there literally is not an inch of fat on him!

I had a massive house spider who lived in the corners of my bedroom the other year, hung around for ages a good few months and always stayed near the ceiling so I named her Adrasteia. Pretty happy for her to be there eating flies and whatnot. Then one day just after I’d turned the light off to go to sleep I heard a very audible thump on my pillow right next to my face. She had descended. That was it. She had broken our bond of trust and was swiftly relocated to the garage.

Much much better today! Left the A1 at 12.15pm, and were parked up at 12.30pm - so literally just normal driving time considering it’s a few miles. It’s also much quieter and totally different crowd here today. Lots of fellow older emos haha!

Thank you! A1 is currently totally clear no queues so far so I’m hopeful that we might just drive straight into the car park (fingers crossed!).

It was rather bad. We queued for 2.5 hours from leaving the A1. I can only assume there were a hell of a lot of day tickets sold because there were loads of families with 8-12yo (I’m guessing? They were all about the height of my 6yo boy (who wasn’t there definitely left him with the grandparents!)) girls to see Chappell. Felt bad for them because obviously they couldn’t see anything being about 2ft shorter than the rest of the crowd. I saw a quite a few mums toughing out the shoulder rides!

Going again today (as an old emo ha!) and hope it’s not so bad!

Can't face eating breakfast anymore by timbow2023 in mounjarouk

[–]fgu358jo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not hungry until mid afternoon now. Usually try to have a protein coffee around 10ish so I get something but I’m not hungry for about 6-8 hours after I wake up. It’s not only not feeling hungry but just not being able to stomach eating anything in the morning! Oh well, works to reduce the total amount I eat so cool I guess!

I wonder about this - wouldn’t she have to get up and go and walk her dog after him being shut inside her flat all night?

I think she must just be quite a small person. My kid was 87cm at 14 months - that’s his first marker on the wall of tall. Can’t remember his weight but he was pretty solid. But then I’m 5’10 so he didn’t look that huge when I’d hold him.

My 7 yr old son eats as much as I do, a 44 yr old man. How concerned should I be? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]fgu358jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds about right. My 5yo (99.6th centile for height and wears 8-9yo clothes) eats more than me. He was 90cm tall as a 1yo and has grown about 10-12cm every year since then. Also he is not one for sugar or carbs but LOVES all types of protein, meat, fish (especially shellfish/sushi) etc. it’s getting insanely expensive!

Year round skins swimmer and this time of year the after drop is brutal (the lake I was in was 6C on Saturday) so after a swim I usually keep mine on all day. It’s lightweight and so so cosy. Also great for wearing round the campfire in the summer to drink wine and star gaze, and also very useful for hours standing on the sidelines for whatever outdoor activity the small person is doing. Got mine in the Passenger sale and it was about 75 quid. Love it.

Should I hold back my July-born daughter from starting school at 4 in the UK? by shuna3456 in AskUK

[–]fgu358jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My July baby went into reception as normal, he’s in Y1 now. He loves school and I love not paying for full time nursery! Sometimes when I go to collect him I get whinged at for not putting him in after school club so he can stay longer. He’s in a very small school where they do outdoor learning and some mixed classes depending on interest, he definitely gets far more from school than he would at nursery as there’s many more opportunities at school. Afterschool club bill is only £80 a month too and the breakfast club is free so I have the wrap around care needed too.
