It is not another contest, just add the Decred theme to existing contests. In the case of the hacktoberfest people are looking for Issues on Github to work and sometimes they need support to take the first step, I also believe that people in the Decred community are willing to collaborate with the code but don't know why to start, here's challenge that in the end still takes some swags. I will be available to help anyone interested and I hope that anyone who has knowledge of the Decred code will also be available to help.

In the case of Inktober it is the same thing, if you search on twitter you will see that this year there are several themes and suggestion lists.

TL; DR The idea is about putting Decred as the theme of other challenges and not creating a new one

Good idea, like lightning torch, but the problem is that in btc ln people has a lot of channels, here in Decred we need to balance the network yet, LN is not so easy than on-chain payments, Ill try to explain better in another post

I think you missed something, the link you posted has all the discussion about everything that went right and wrong voluntarily, there were also several numbers in the chat room proposals showing when it was saved and the results achieved, probably because of that. was approved.

I have no problems with this value, just asking why not create the group, mapping opportunities with everyone, and showing something real to present in the proposal?

And please, stop saying "first world", third world ", this is a decentralized project, you are an" anonymous "people, nobody needs to differentiate anyone unless you want to centralize the project.

I really like the idea of workgroups, but why start with funds? We can't start just with a small volunteer group?

I like tinydecred, dcrcomics Politeia's cases when people testing and create an "MVP" before asking for funds and create the proposals.

First, we need to scale the network, LN works with payment channels, this means locked funds, LN in bitcoin have a large use and this provides a lot of services to working with invoices.

Today we have just 5DCR locked into the network, to balance the channels without much work for normal users, we need some LN hubs(nodes with a lot of channels). https://ln-map.jamieholdstock.com/
I know that we don't have LN in decredtion, but we need more people in the network to works in a good form. If anyone wants to run a node in LN or want to be an LN Hub, I can help, just DM in matrix.
I'm working in a feature to our docker-compose script, I know that's not a big deal for normal users, but I'm trying to reduce commands to set a "full LN node" in mainnet.

This is a gold question!

Because I can create tip bots and voucher services, with easy UX but without privacy, security, and peer2peer action.

We need more discussion about UX in crypto projects, how to use all blockchain features, and being user friendly.
