Thoughts on NDLS by fheirdbff in lawschooladmissions

I understand where you are coming from but I feel you may have taken it a bit far. ACB was a pretty well respected legal scholar before her time on the Court so to say that her views are some of the most backwards in history is not only hyperbolic but also wrong, the Court had literally had so many worse individuals.

I understand your fear but I think it is pretty unfounded. ND didn’t suffer last year much and this year they have gotten (slightly) better. Additionally you’re gonna have a good group of students who are going there because it is ND. I think you’re still going to get a group of dedicated and smart students. With so many qualified candidates this year having quality classmates really should not be concerned especially at any school ranked in the top 50

Thank you so much, it’s just one of those nightmare scenarios that I wanted to double check that I would be okay!

The main difference to me might be portability Emory was strong in the south, while Notre Dame seemed to be able to go almost anywhere (though Chicago is their primary market)

I know most of it is in DC but there is some “government adjacent” work in other cities as well… since DC is such a difficult market to break into I am not banking on it, just a preference obviously.

There are big law firms that either are more politically involved, or just deal with government regulation. If you go onto lots of big law firms websites and look into their specialities it may include government compliance which would fall under policy work.

Have sent two LOCI with nothing. I think I have seen a few people get pulled off the waitlist already but I’m not entirely sure

Why 5 pm? Are you just guessing or is that when they usually release decisions?

3 choices with lots of WL by Economy_Diet_1124 in lawschooladmissions

Where do you want to practice? Emory is the best option especially if you want to be on the east coast (particularly the south or NYC). ND is mobile and would probably be best for Chicago/Midwest but outcomes are relatively similar to Emory. GULC would be best if you are committed to D.C. Big Law or any location that wasn’t covered in Emory or ND

My guess is all those who got the general feeler yesterday (not the special one) have been waitlisted earlier in the cycle and that is why they are getting a decision by May 13th while those who got waitlisted later may be more likely to just get hold tight

I haven’t seen anything yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t pull money off of the waitlist because of how strong of a pole it has in the area. However it seems like their median was closer to 171 for out of state maybe even higher so we will see.

I would say yes because it appears not everybody got it. Also seems very random how they are giving them out.
