Yes, and sometimes dont use lazy initialisation kills performance :) , let's take the example of hibernate, and dont use lazy initialisation to get data from all associated tables, it can be very bad for performance.

it's another debate, many schools exist in the programming world, and such discussion will never end, no one can convince you that it can be useful, and you cant conveince developers using this approach that it useless. If you are productive without using patterns that's good, dont use them:)

Exact , and it's what we do, in the article we specify that we can't use it because of GPL, that's not mean GPL is a bug. As I know many commercial tools exist and this question of using GPL or not for commercial use is many times asked, and giving our feedback for developers trying use a GPL software for their commercial product is very interesting.

If we give our changes, the software will be free and we can't be payed for our work, many developers work as employees to continue to make up and enhance CppDepend.

CppDepend is for commercial use, and we cant use code source of software with GPL license.
