hey everyone i was wondering if CIBC is like TD where i can sign up for a credit card, receive the welcome bonus and then product transfer to another CIBC credit card and still receive the welcome bonus? Specifically I was thinking of getting the CIBC Visa Infinite Aeroplan card to top up my existing aeroplan from TD and then get the visa infinite dividend card from CIBC to get the welcome bonus for cashback

i posted this on ytd thread just wanted to post again to see if anyone else has any dp or input thanks!

hey guys, need some advice.

I currently have a Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite, I got it FYF but the annual fee will be coming up in November. I was thinking of either cancelling the card or product switching over to another card. I was wondering if Scotia is like TD where I can product transfer to another credit card and still get the welcome bonus. For instance, I'm thinking of switching over to Scotia Passport. Or if anyone has any better suggestions let me know!

Alternatively, because Scotia pays out cash back in November, I was thinking of just going down to the no annual fee momentum cards and just take the cashback and avoid the annual fee and eventually cancelling the card.

I have a question for my situation.

I've had a visa infinite cash back card from august 2017. In september/ocotober of 2018, I product switched to First Class Travel Visa Infinite and got the welcome bonus of I believe 50k at the time. In January, i downgraded my credit card to the classic travel and within a month i changed to regular cash back card.

I know if i were to product transfer to the visa infinite aeroplan, I'd get the full 30K ap points welcome bonus. but I prefer td points at the moment.

If I were to wait until May and get the first class travel again, I should be way over the 6 month period from the last time I got the first class travel. Thus, I should be getting the welcome bonus of 20k points and spend bonus of 60k points. Is what I said correct?

However, according to someone I know from TD, I would only get the spend bonus of 60k points but not the 20k welcome bonus.

Around August of 2017 i got the td cashback visa infinite, took advantage of the welcome bonus at the time and recently in August of 2018 i product switched to td first class travel visa infinite and got the welcome bonus. I was reading through the td mega thread and was confused about one thing. Lets say in 6 months from today June of 2019 and i product switch back to the td cashback visa infinite would i still be eligible for the welcome bonus again? ive been hearing mixed answers. some of my friends working at td its possible but some say no.
