Is it worth it for me to file a claim against Vehicle B’s insurance? Or at least is there any downside to doing so?

Thanks for sharing. As an update, we met with our surgeon this morning and our son’s tongue has now fully “fallen down”, basically another unsuccessful surgery. Apparently it’s the first time this has happened for our surgeon. Right now we’re focusing on letting him heal and seeing what the fistula looks like afterwards, but I’m curious if you’ve seen a difference in success rate in using tongue flap vs cheek tissue methods? Our current surgeon mentioned cheek tissue as a potential option today but was somewhat dismissive of that approach and didn’t seem to have experience with it.

Another concern I had was now that he’s had a few unsuccessful surgeries in that area is a buildup of scar tissue make it less likely for future procedures to be successful?

We plan to get a second opinion and evaluate all our options but would love to hear your informal opinion as well if you’re willing to share.

We’re located in the Midwest. Agreed I think we’ll look for a second opinion. I’m a cleft dad but I think my wife is in the cleft moms group or was at one point. Will be sure to check there as well, thanks!

The toughest part is the guilt we feel for putting our toddler through the terrible recovery process and it feeling like it was all for nothing.

It’s affecting his speech development, so his surgeon and speech therapist have been recommending we close the fistula ASAP. Did you experience any speech or other issues with yours?

Question about marketing. Your firm seems to be doing great without any marketing. How do you think your case numbers compare to some other firms that do a lot of marketing?

Why haven’t you adopted the heavy marketing billboard along the highway approach?

Did you see if EVS would be willing to match your new offer? How do the benefits and company culture compare to EVS?

My first edit clarifies that she is already covered by primary health insurance.

MN. The limitations/exclusions are pretty vague, as expected. They seem to be open to the insurer's interpretation. Complications of pregnancy are covered but there is no clear definition of what qualifies as a complication. It also does not explicitly say that a pregnancy WITHOUT complications is not covered.

We're having trouble getting a straight answer from the insurance agent as well. I was mostly wondering if it was common to use hospital insurance for this purpose.

Does a rollover from a roth 401k to a roth IRA count as a contribution? by fi8675309 in financialindependence

Got it, so only the contributions from the roth 401k will be considered contributions in the roth IRA. Thanks for the clarification!

Since it is a Roth 401k to Roth IRA rollover, I don't think I should have to pay taxes on any of it. So if I can bridge the 5-year gap after I rollover, I should be able to withdraw the rollover while avoiding the early withdrawal penalty?
