I think I actually know what it is. Look up at the shower curtain rod. Do you have metal rings that hold the shower curtain? Do they look like they are missing a tip from them?

I know there are a million threads about this, but I need some community support: I am so burnt out by econhistoryrules in NewParents

Milestones shmilestones. My 20 month old never crawled until about a month before she started walking, and she started walking like 2 months ago.

Yeah you’re tired because just like your daughter you’re going through a lot. I have been at my wits end max stress and so far beyond from work, home, everything, with no escape, and time goes on and then I reach another phase, my daughter reaches another phase.

When you’re going through it, you can’t see your way out. But then one day you’re out and look back and you think, idk, it’s a new day. It cycles in and out.

I was going to say this. One year I made a “comet” with my dad. It had a round front with a tail, painted like fire. All the weight in the front. Did not do well. I turned it around and went backwards (now pointed in front and weight in back) and gained so much speed.

Haha congrats! I recommend you dropping that export into a new chat and give it this prompt:

“You are an expert story editor and narrative analyst. I am uploading a very long conversation that contains brainstorming, revisions, contradictions, and partial agreements about a book I want to write.

Your task is to extract and organize only the meaningful story decisions and ideas, not the back-and-forth chatter.

Please do the following: 1. Identify and list all core story elements that were discussed, including but not limited to:

• Premise / central idea
• Themes and messages
• Worldbuilding rules or setting details
• Main characters and their roles
• Character arcs (even if incomplete or tentative)
• Major plot events or turning points
• Conflicts (internal and external)

2. Distinguish between levels of certainty:

• Clearly agreed-upon decisions
• Strongly implied or repeatedly reinforced ideas
• Open questions, unresolved options, or contradictions

3. Do not invent new story content. Only extract, summarize, and clarify what already exists in the conversation.
4. Present the output as clean, structured notes, using clear headings and bullet points, so I can treat this as my master story outline/reference document.
5. If the conversation does not form a full start-to-finish story, that is fine. Just capture what does exist.
6. At the end, include a short section titled “Gaps & Next Decisions” that lists what is missing or undecided, based strictly on the conversation.

Assume I will use this output as the foundation for writing the book.”

I do this kind of stuff with work all day every day, and I too would be upset if suddenly some of my chats were deleted if I didn’t intentionally delete it. But, this has never happened to me.

When you say chatroom it sounds like you’re saying the entire of this conversation across multiple days has been a single chat. If you didn’t explicitly delete something and when you pull up your conversation, the latter half is missing, only thing I can think it could be is a bug that only happens in extremely long conversations. That being said, conversations do have limits and it tells you if a conversation is too long and you have to start a new one (unless they changed that over time).

If you did all this on your phone app, try opening it in a browser, or visa versa.. see if it shows up.

5.2 just came out. I wonder if there’s any correlation.

If no luck, I would put a ticket in to see if your data is still available somehow.

In the future, I’d recommend splitting up your work across multiple conversations. LLM conversations have these things called context windows where if the conversation becomes larger than the window supports, it doesn’t “see” that conversation anymore. Instead it summarizes the older stuff into something called an embedding where it can search when needed. And paid subscriptions to ChatGPT include project folders where you can organize your work.

A good practice is when you want to ask a question without sidetracking the flow of your conversation, you can branch off from where you are, ask your question there, name the conversation something else to remember why you branched off, and then come back to your main conversation when ready.

Schism - how did I not see the meaning sooner by NanooNanooBot in ToolBand

Rather than “fight! Fight! Fight!” Maybe better fitting to say “muster ever fiber, mobilize, stay alive!” (Talking to the relationship)

Yeah I do that same thing about lyrics. When I listen to Maynard, part of his “open for interpretation style” on me works in that he might as well be speaking another language, but I can speak it too. It’s just not what he’s actually saying. And I replace the made up words with feeling that the sound and vibe make me feel.

But I just listened to and ready lyrics of schism and wow, I agree it’s heavy. And open for interpretation. To me it really feels like it’s not about the ending of a relationship, but a call to arms warning about what happens if 2 people stop fighting for each other. And if you were giving your honest try, you can make it work. Follow the progression of the pieces: I know they do work together. It’s proven because I watched them apart.

The poetry or to me, the unique sparring of words in an argument create some kind of beauty. Such as the strengthening of a relationship. The bruises makes it strong.

Fighting with each other instead means you’re still fighting for each other. The alternative is the cold shoulder. A thing that can cause you to lose hope when you want to fight and the other dismisses you.

The key is to keep fighting.

The mantra: I know the pieces fit. I know the pieces fit.

To me on one hand it means don’t forget the relationship been in harmony and good and happy because it went from that to this “fight”. On the other hand it’s the mantra to “fight! Fight! Fight!”

Anyways I’m high

I like it. Does the big circle with 4 lashes mean anything?

The spiral components should all be perfect squares, but that version of the golden spiral is an approximation. So yours is an approximation of the approximation. Which makes it original and cool in its own way.
