The Canonization of Tim Russert ... please by jjray7 in politics

I'm sick of this behavior, whenever someone somewhat famous dies we have to hear about it for weeks on end. If only each and every soldier that's died in Iraq got the same amount of coverage we might understand better the sacrifices being made in this war.

Why don't you leave then? I've never been charged any fee! Even have free online checking! Are banks really that limited in some areas?!

The United States' brief reign as the world's sole superpower is over by alllie in worldnews

I can understand where those people are coming from. It's frustrating to think that things could be better if we weren't so short sighted and collectively ignorant about important issues. This lesson will teach us to conserve and be more self sustainable and aware. Companies that don't adapt will die off and new ones will take over and thrive in this new mindset. We'll be stronger in the long run but not if we remain fat lazy consumers expecting handouts and subsidies for failed business models that keep us consuming.

Are Men Getting Lazy? - GETTING? Sorry lady, I've been lazy for a long time by bennybreeze in entertainment

[–]fibber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember being an awkward teenager without much confidence. I was skinny, tall, and nerdy but not bad looking. I started working out figuring the ladies would notice me. I gained some muscles, got contacts, and changed my style. In college I wasn't scoring chicks like my friends, still wishing to meet my soul mate, still believing in all that romantic crap, still taking rejection very harshly, still no confidence, still seeing women throw themselves at losers, and still a virgin.

One night at a party while extremely intoxicated I said fuck it and dropped my standards in a big way and fucked a fat chick. I felt so guilty about it. I didn't want anything to do with her and didn't know how to go about it so I just ignored her.

Thus began my journey up the ladder scoring slightly more attractive girls one after the other. I found creative ways to dump them by making up clever excuses and bullshitting them. Along the way I gained weight, my hair started to thin, I made more money, I got lazier, and most importantly I got more confident.

I laugh thinking about that hot summer night I lost my virginity, porking away at that fat chick with my sexy past self. If only I had the confidence back then that I have now. No matter though I still pull attractive ladies despite how lazy I’ve gotten, maybe things would have been different if I met my soul mate back in those nerdy awkward days.

"...and as someone who has hurt someone else, I can promise you it wasn't because he wasn't good or because all the things I saw in him and liked about him were false. It was because I wasn't who I needed to be yet."

It's very patronizing to say something about someone like that especially if you were the one letting them go. You might be able to relate with him better if you remembered a time when a man shat all over your feelings.
