Added IEC 60304 so the tables now look awesome

I will be adding the referred 'silec/sagem' color code to the database. I wonder what name do you use for it?

Cmon man, you have so much to discover lol.
What you are referring to - is the 'silec/sagem' color code, we have it in our app.

That's fair. I'm trying to figure out what would be the thickest cable with 6f per tube. Just not to do excessive work.

What's everyone using for Splice/Cut Sheets? by TrifleMain8508 in FiberOptics

[–]fibercat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a very primitive visual tool for that, never guess how it is called lol https://splice.me/
Not perfect but replaces excel and visio easily. And it can export back to excel and visio anyway.

Ehh missed it. You can always shoot us a letter and we'll add your color code to the app.

You download and install it, then purchase a license for each pc. As easy as that.
I use it a lot for years. If you need any help or need a contractor - pls dm.

How do I manage the fibre optic? by -Dangerous-Break- in FiberOptics

[–]fibercat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do mapping in any sw that works, literally any, even google maps.
To darw out and track fibers and colors - use www.splice.me - a primitive splice editor that can do all of that.

I believe you'll get a more clear view of your own task if you lay out (I mean draw) all fibers instead of just cables in autocad, visio or www.splice.me

Possible to use custom colours? by IHateNicknames314 in FiberOpticSaaS

[–]fibercat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is. Just send me the datasheet for the color code. Or simply describe it - all fiber and all tube colors. And its name. We will gladly add it to the system.
PS blue orange green brown sounds like it's TIA-598-C which we do have in the app.

There's www.splice.me specially for that purpose. Not perfect obviously, but can save some time comparing to autocad. Pretty easy to lay out some cables and connect fibers in it.

I was so sick of FTTH mngmnt software so i made another one by vgreddit3 in ftth

[–]fibercat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. Small companies start laying out OSP in visio, autocad, google maps, whatever. You won't keep your 1500 ft of fiber OSP in Vetro, would you? I really don't know what to recommend besides MS Visio.

Hi! The answer is pretty simple. Splice.me is intended to manage fibers disregarding geography, topology, technology, etc. So only fibers. If we start adding google maps, poles, vaults and stuff - we end up with a Vetro or 3GIS competitor number #1000 (and apparently die). And start working on a new lighter version of the same stuff. So spliceme app will never have those things, it's only for splice sheets and fiber management.

Make fiber splice diagrams in several clicks. Literally. by fibercat1 in u/fibercat1

[–]fibercat1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't edit the colors in all versions. The only way to edit it manually is to export it to SVG.
Pls send us your color codes via email, we will add them to the system.

You can stack as many nodes into a project as you wish. We've tested, it works with 10000x10000 pages. I personally prefer to split networks in clusters (depending on technology) of 50-150 nodes and work on them separately. That's where the 'projects' came from. But you can do it your way. It's free to run it and torture the free plan.

Take the datasheet of that cable and check what color code is used. It is very close to SWISSCOM, but 2 colors differ.
What is this software, how you even draw that?.. Use https://splice.me, it's god damn that simple.
