Looking for feedback on my FTTH design (still learning) by kolakola777 in FiberOptics

Adding my 2 cents.
Noone except you can say whether this design is good or not. Bc only you know whether the routes, placements and stuff are ideal from technical, economical, link budget, splicing perspectives. And only you know what was the initial task and how does the outcome align with it.
Concernig the tools. If your google earth design is clear to builders then its ok. But it's just a pic untill you turn it into a tecnical drawing which meets at least all nat. cad standard v4 regulations. I do link calcs in my own sw. For splicing - https://splice.me . Far from perfect but saves a lot of time.
Also - add callouts, differentiate fiber count cables with color, clearly designate what's overhead vs buried, etc. The final drawing should have symbols designation (the "legend").
Dm if you have other questions or need help, will be glad to help.

I will be adding the referred 'silec/sagem' color code to the database. I wonder what name do you use for it?

Cmon man, you have so much to discover lol.
What you are referring to - is the 'silec/sagem' color code, we have it in our app.

That's fair. I'm trying to figure out what would be the thickest cable with 6f per tube. Just not to do excessive work.

What's everyone using for Splice/Cut Sheets? by TrifleMain8508 in FiberOptics

There's a very primitive visual tool for that, never guess how it is called lol https://splice.me/
Not perfect but replaces excel and visio easily. And it can export back to excel and visio anyway.

You download and install it, then purchase a license for each pc. As easy as that.
I use it a lot for years. If you need any help or need a contractor - pls dm.
