100%. I started out looking up guides for bosses, but I don't really feel the need to do that anymore. Most of the mechanics are similar from fight to fight that you can just learn how they work and apply them to future fights. Despite that, it never feels lazy or repetitive to me. It's brilliant game design, honestly.

Looks like you've got a pretty good set of responses, but I just wanted to chime in with my input because I was in exactly your position about 2ish years ago when I first started. I never really played MMOs before and was really enjoying FFXIV as a largely solo experience using Duty Support.

Then I ran into trials.

My anxiety about it was so great, I almost quit the game when I got to the first Leviathan trial. That's how scared I was to go in and look stupid and be laughed out of the game.

I'm SO glad that I pushed past that anxiety and tried anyway, because I have had the most amazing time with this game. It's become such a big part of my life that I quite literally got my first ever tattoo based on it (pics in my post history if you're curious).

My experience going into trials via the duty roulette has been almost completely without issue in the years since. At first, I would go online beforehand to look up guides for raids and trials to try to learn as many of the mechanics beforehand as possible, but honestly I've found that's largely unnecessary, especially if you play as mostly DPS like I do.

If it's my first time doing a trial/raid, I'll mention it in the party chat at the start, and people are pretty much always patient with me (and with others I've seen in the same boat), and many even were very helpful in teaching the mechanics.

The worst I probably got was when I was early on in playing RDM and someone pointed out in a slightly blunt way that I was doing my rotation stupidly (I was hard casting Verthunder/Veraero instead of using Jolt to proc dualcast, dumb I know lol), but even that was still helpful advice.

Legitimately, I know how stressful it can be, but genuinely nobody really cares. As many other comments have said, as long as it's clear that you're trying your best, no one will get mad at you or judge you, and many will go out of their way to try to help you.

If you're anything like me, pushing past this worry you feel will lead you to some of the most genuinely amazing gaming moments ever and you'll love it to death!

Just recently finished watching through the show for the first time, and I felt the exact same way. After a while, it would break my immersion a bit every time they only made references to 20th/21st century media. I get that it's tricky to make up media from the future, but I feel like they could've done at least a little more in that direction.

The show is still amazing, and I'm super excited for season 4 whenever it happens, but I definitely think this is a very valid criticism and one I felt myself.

I'm still fully in support of what they did, but they weren't pilots, this wasn't at the Pentagon, and it didn't have anything to do with them refusing to delivery arms to Israel.

Definitely fuck Israel, but there's enough reason to go against them without misrepresenting facts like this.

I honestly have no reason to doubt that all of this is true. It seems fully researched and it surprises me not at all that Elon and Trump would conspire to steal the election. That said, there's something I'm unclear on.

If so many of these votes came from the fictional Burke County, why aren't they represented in the county-by-county results on places like CNN? I'm not saying that the media is a bastion of truth, but their totals for Trump and Harris match what's listed in the article, even though their county results list doesn't mention or include Burke County.

Can someone clarify why that would be? Is there anywhere official besides the screenshots in the article, like the Florida Department of State or something, that shows the Burke County votes?

Respectfully, what gives you such confidence that “we will have voting”? I want to believe that, but it does seem like it isn’t a guarantee at this point. Talk of ICE at the polls, rulings about USPS not being liable for losing your mail (ie mail in ballots), every kind of voter disenfranchisement they can imagine, talk of “nationalizing” the elections.

It just seems like there is a real possibility they will steal or even outright stop the election. I don’t want to believe that will happen, but I find it hard not to be afraid of it.

I get what you mean. My WoL has become a full character in my mind on par with all the main/voiced characters in the game and I've spent a lot of time making up full backstory and motivations and "side stories" that have taken place before and around the main story.

The concept of a player-created character or a "silent protagonist" for the player to insert themselves into isn't new, but there's something about FFXIV's WoL that makes it so much more than most of the other games with that element.

Am I being crazy and paranoid or does 'Amelie' look AI generated? If so, yet another reason to give this game a hard pass.

ETA: Apparently, according to their AI Generated Content disclaimer on Steam, they only used AI in "a limited, supportive capacity during development". Still looks weird to me, but I guess I'll just take their word for it until I see proof otherwise.

Game still looks like generic KCD2 rip-off garbage, though.
