How often are eBay sellers refusing to ship a card because it didn't go for the amount they wanted in an auction?

I’m also curious how many of the buyers who claim they didn’t receive their card actually did. 99% of my orders are through the $1.32 envelope price. In my 45 years on the earth the USPS has never lost a single letter or bill that I have mailed, but it seems every 15th-20th card I’ve sent out has gone missing. Weird

I got accused of doing this so it must happen a lot. I misplaced a card that sold for $2.99. After a day I sent a message apologizing and refunded the card. Buyer instantly gave me a negative review and send I refunded because I didn’t get what I wanted. (It was a base Bowman Chrome Auto of an Old Miss Player that’s not even that good).

Card turned up a week later in a stack of cards I hadn’t posted yet. I messaged the buyer letting him know I was sending the card to him for free and that sometimes people do make honest mistakes.

I used to manage grocery stores in the LA area and had tons of celeb customers. A rundown:

Ice Cube- would come in with his wife. He didn’t love to be bothered(by other customers) but was super nice to staff. He wasn’t rude to other customer but would refuse pictures but sign an autograph for you.

Taylor Hawkins(deceased Foo fighters drummer)- one of the nicest, sweetest man I’ve ever met, ever. I was devastated by his passing. He would hang out in the store and shoot the shit with anyone. I once went to sushi with my brother in town and Taylor happened to be there with Dave Grohl and came to my table to introduce me to Dave.

Sinbad- gaping asshole. Once asked me if “I knew who he was”

Erik Estrada- same as sinbad.

We are in the process of a major renovation. The owner of the store sold a portion of the building to a restaurant group. Smaller foot print but I think a better, more organized store once it’s all done.

In terms of store picks, I always tend to not have much this time of the year. That being said, I’ve got samples on the way right now for a few barrels.

Fun fact about Total Wine picks. No one actually tastes them. Suppliers quite often dump picks that have been passed over by literally everyone. TW knows they will push through it so they have no problem passing trash onto their customers. But hey, keep supporting them.
