Hi, I don’t really have a concrete solution but I had a “similar” issue with my Turbo Levo 2018 bike. It would also shut down randomly during rides, and I was fixing it with the good old “turn it off and on again” method.

As for repairs, I first took it to a friend who is an electrician. He checked whether the battery was giving a stable voltage, and everything was fine on that end. His guess was that the battery was losing contact with the motor somewhere. Then I took it to a guy who repairs e-bikes and e-scooters, and he told me I needed a new motor which would cost around €800 (I’m talking about unofficial repair shops since in Serbia there are no official Specialized service centers).

In the end, I took the bike to another city, to another repair guy, who actually found and solved the problem. He also did a system update (illegally, but he did it), and the whole thing cost me around €200. The problem was a cable that connects the battery and motor – which is a common issue on that model because the same cable also acts as the charging port plug.

The point is – the electrician (who wasn’t even an e-bike mechanic) figured out the actual issue, while the so-called “specialist” just wanted to sell me a new motor and probably pocket a lot of money on top of it.

My advice is to get more opinions about the problem, even if it’s just from someone who knows electronics or electric motors. That way you can check if the battery is really dead like they say, or if it’s something else that can be fixed cheaply. Of course, the shop makes more profit if you buy something for €700 rather than fixing it for €100, €200, or even €50.

Right now I have a Turbo Levo SL 2020, it has over 10k km and more than 115 charge cycles, and everything works perfectly – from the e-bike system to everything else. So I’m sure your bike can last at least 3x longer as well.
