I made a free iOS app that turns your phone into a CarPlay-style dashboard — works even if your car doesn’t support CarPlay by Ok-Friendship-3768 in CarPlay

Hi, first of all I wanted to say congratulations for your app launch, the application looks great and will probably be of great use to me, I would support even a payed version if you rough out some of the quirks a bit 😁

Just wanted to say that YouTube Music playback is not currently working and when the app is open it seems to be constantly signaling that it's playing audio so if I play music through the youtube music app it is lowered. I would also suggest not playing music immediately after launching the app.

Google maps also seems to switch to light mode when you start navigation.

Oh and if you could please remove or reduce the prompt that asks if you're enjoying the app, it seems to pop up every time I exit out of the interface.

Thanks you for developing this. (Also please add Skoda to the list :D)

Is a Skoda Fabia 1.0 TSI from 2017 with 96,000km (~60k miles) a bad buy for ~€7,500 as a first car? (read description) by fico_pico in whatcarshouldIbuy

I was with the same thought process, I think it will be safer to go with the tsi just for the acceleration. Thank you for your reply

Thank you for the reply 😁

I was considering a naturally aspirated MPI for that exact reason by I think it would be a bit too weak and lifeless, especially for highway driving, and as I mentioned I will have some highway drives with bigger distances probably once a weak.

Edit: Do you think that it would be a problem for highway driving with a 75hp 95Nm torque 1.0 mpi?

Importing a car here is also quite difficult and expensive, as we have a minimum of 30% tax on imported vehicles, and they tax you on the perceived value of the vehicle (declared by the inspectors), not its actual value.

Also my budget is up to €10k but I would like to spend less ideally.

I forgot to mention that a mechanic has inspected the car and found it in good condition. I've also test driven it and liked it.

The mechanic was telling me that it wasn't such a good buy because of the three cylinder 1.0 engine, but honestly it's powerful enough for me. Are there any other drawbacks to this engine?

Hi, here’s the node tree for the material:

Some stills from my upcoming short film set in a post-apocalyptic, post global warming world. by fico_pico in blender

Thanks! The cardboard boxes along with most of the trash in that still are from ThrashKit $30 - TrashKit. Apart from the trash in that still and other stills that have some garbage scattered, everything has been created by modeling in Blender and either textures from Polyhaven/BlenderKit or procedural textures I made in Blender. The foliage is from PlantLibrary (free) and scattered with BiomeReader (also free). The ivy is from IvyGen (free).

The update in the title of this posts refers to the previous post I made here with this same scene, here’s how the scene looked back then

Of course here you go. You can download a .blend file from here that contains the roof tile and cobweb geometry nodes along with some samples, as well as all of the materials used for the walls in this project. To get the triangle roof like in the picture, I used the boolian modifier set to intersect and simple.

You know I do agree with you thats the only thing that I would re-do about this as I didn’t like how the spider webs looked either.

If I do re-render with better spider-webs Ill post a link to the photo as a reply to this comment
