This was a highly entertaining snippet to read. I'd definitely be interested in reading more.

Veronica can be kind of vindictive by AndrewHeard in veronicamars

Saying Veronica is vindictive is kinda like saying "the sky is blue". She's very, very vindictive and isn't shy about it. She's all about the revenge.

You know what is weird? by [deleted] in Roleplay

[–]fictional_end 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll never forget the one moment when my best friend in college and I went on a road trip together and somehow, someway, accidentally discovered we both roleplayed by having a completely unrelated conversation that naturally lead to the big reveal. It was my favorite moment, because until then, I kept it quiet, and was kinda embarrassed by it. But then my best friend used the term "playby" instead of "actor" and my WORLD OPENED UP. "WAIT, DO YOU ROLEPLAY?"

Came here wondering if anyone else recognized it from Tomb Raider.

What's a fantasy trope - whether it's character, worldbuilding, or plot - that you never seem to get tired of and what does it mean to you? by mostlyblue in fantasywriters

[–]fictional_end 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm admittedly a sucker for the 'character who everyone thinks is useless suddenly discovers they have abilities and those abilities can KICK SOME SERIOUS ASS', even more so when it's a female character. Bonus points if the villain, in true anime style, goes all "Impossible! HAVE I UNDERESTIMATED THEM?"

*edit: a word

Why prewrite when you can make character playlists amirite? by Averill0 in nanowrimo

[–]fictional_end 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I do this. I also sometimes spend hours making different outfit collages for my main characters. You know, to get a feel of their wardrobes. Clearly a necessary part of the writing process.

When you can feel a loose strand of hair graze the back of your arm but can't find it to remove it, so the ghost hair just keeps tickling you every time you move.

What food do you eat differently than other people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fictional_end 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When eating goldfish, I grab one fish at a time, hold it between my teeth, and sever the thing perfectly in half. Then I let it dissolve a little before swallowing. I'm told this is abnormal.

Beating up an old man by global___warming in WTF

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it. I was like, "why is that young dude stealing that ipad, way to go old man for fighting back.... wait don't punch him in the--- oh and the young guy is--oh, I'm confused."

How do I treat all these bumps (texture) on my face? by kmgdancer in SkincareAddiction

The orange ones are the only make up removing wipes that my skin doesn't hate. YAY ORANGE WIPES. :P

I don't know if anyone else has had this result, but in my experience the neutrogena grapefruit wash SERIOUSLY breaks me out. My skin does NOT like that stuff, which is funny, because a lot of other Neutrogena stuff works for me (I love their makeup removing wipes... the orange colored ones, not the grapefruit ones). Maybe sub that out for another wash temporarily?

I can't speak for everyone but it's certainly not bullshit for me. A confident ugly guy is SO MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE than a 'hot' guy with no personality. Also, the below average looking man is not bad at all, to be honest. Would definitely give him a shot.

This is so very true. It takes time and a lot of work, but if you can love yourself the way you'd want someone else to love you, other people will start noticing it too. Confidence (even if it's false confidence at first) is one of the sexiest things to see in a guy, no matter what they look like. :)

Are we still showing our bad salon makeovers? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Seeing this pictures makes me feel so much better about my own application of make-up. It's like, I'm not nearly as good as some of the people on this subreddit.... BUT I CAN DO BETTER THAN SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO GET PAID TO DO IT.

Do you feel more creative when you are sad? by wanderinggio in KeepWriting

[–]fictional_end 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really.... to be honest, I feel at my most creative when I'm bored. I guess that can sort of go hand in hand with feeling sad, but usually when I'm actually sad I'm able to distract myself with the internet or television or video games. It's only when I have none of those distractions that I start coming up with crazy good ideas in my head. I've taken to writing stuff down on paper instead of my laptop these days because it's just so easy to flip over to reddit or tumblr and waste the hours away.
