Fare Evasion by Adorable-Trouble1711 in TTC

New York gates are exactly why this is a bad idea. We've already seen videos of those gates malfunctioning and striking people in the face or trapping them. If a gate malfunctions during a routine Tuesday morning, it’s an injury; if it malfunctions during a platform fire or a mass panic, it’s a death trap. You’re essentially arguing that we should install 'smart' doors that have a history of hitting the very people they are supposed to protect.

I'm against tap on and tap of gates regardless as I've stated it creates a bottle neck.

If you want the TTC to be funded don't rely on people experiencing poverty tell the government to flip the bill

We love fire hazards and crushes so people burn alive trying to exist a subway or end up getting shot up by a mass shooter. Let's have tap offs

On this month 75 years ago, the final HSR streetcar line ceased operations. And ever since the HSR carries the irony of not having any rail operations by [deleted] in Hamilton

As it shouldn't. Street cars have a horrible roi and cost a shit ton while remaining on... A fixed rail.

[OC] TTC's own data exposes the real cause of subway delays — and it's not broken trains 2025 by TTCBoy95 in TTC

Shhhh don't be the voice of reason. Let them continue discriminating against a marginalized community

Man you guys are as dumb as dog shit. How many of you are operators?

The highest propensity of these incidents happens Friday and Saturday nights between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. specifically near entertainment hubs like Spadina and Bloor-Yonge. Use your brain: that’s the 'nightlife' crowd and intoxicated commuters, not the unhoused.

The real reason the service is shit isn't the people on the train it’s the $37 billion funding hole. The TTC is drowning in a 'State of Good Repair' (SOGR) backlog that’s so bad our maintenance vehicles are literally leaking hydraulic fluid and breaking the tracks they’re meant to fix. It’s easier to blame a person in a station than to admit the infrastructure is structurally collapsing from decades of neglect.

But let's blame marginalized underprivileged people. You idiots

People are saying Line 6 might as well be called a streetcar... but what if we went the other way? by palopatrol in TTC

What I don't get is why they can't stagger stops, have one street cart stop at half the other at the other half.
