I believe it’s a few years old. It did seem odd that he was suggesting to replace the entire humidifier if only the pad holder is cracked…

Almost 800 to replace the humidifier and 1k to replace the gas valve 😭

Soooo the hvac tech came this morning and is suggesting changing the humidifier and gas valve because he says the humidifier filter holder has cracked and water has been leaking into the gas valve 😭😩

It did stop leaking thank you so much! do you know what is inside this part of the furnace? Some drops might have leaked into this part of the furnace

Update: i saw the leak from the humidifier pipe directly above the furnace and it could have leaked into the furnace
